"We had a fantastic stay at Facowie Lodge! Dave's communication was superb throughout the entire process and even the couple times I had questions while we were there. The lodge itself was beautiful - even better than the pictures! The setting offered incredible peace and solitude. We greatly appreciated the proximity to all main areas of Voyageur National Park, which was the focal point of our trip. We were within 10 minutes of the Crane Lake section of the park (where there are a couple fabulous hikes!) and then only 1.5 hours from Rainy Lake area in International Falls. We were able to do several daytrips from this convenient location! We would highly recommend this property to anyone!! Well-stocked, well maintained, perfect northwoods setting!"

"This is a wonderful property in a beautiful setting, hosted by truly thoughtful people. The house is bright, open, and airy, with lovely views that make it just as enjoyable to relax inside as it is to explore outdoors.Our stay was too short to enjoy everything, but we especially loved the sauna, the refreshing freshwater shower, and the classic Finnish experience of jumping straight into the lake. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, and even pantry staples for guests to use, which is an especially thoughtful touch in such a remote location (there is a gas station/market nearby but we never went).Kim and Jay provide a detailed but easy-to-follow guide to the home, amenities, and local attractions. Everything was simple to use, including the sauna, washer and dryer, grill, and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay, and the house was stocked with plenty of towels. Communication before, during, and after our stay was excellent, and check-in and check-out were seamless.As lovely as the home is, we spent most of our time outside exploring Voyageurs. If you do not bring a boat, we highly recommend renting one or taking a guided tour, since many of the park’s best experiences are on the water. Our favorite hike, Blind Ash Bay Trail, was just minutes from the home. This is an outstanding place to stay for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Voyageurs National Park. We would happily stay here again."

"The place is nice. A couple of small criticisms; it feels slightly unfinished. Still some loose baseboards throughout the house and construction debris in garage. A fair amount of weekend construction on the neighboring property. This feels transitional and I suspect will be resolved. I would stay here again, but felt that the pricing was a little aggressive."
