Unusual stay in a mill on the Loire

The Moulin de la Bastille of 70m² on 5 levels, has been restored with great taste combining the charm of the old with decoration, equipment and modern comfort, and offers you an unusual setting conducive to calm and rest.
Lovers of the Loire,
On each floor its panorama!
The mill is composed of five levels served by stairs and miller's ladders.
Sucker ladders can involve certain risks for users.
Kitchen and separate WC on ground floor. 1st floor Living room, 2nd floor 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and bathroom, 3rd floor 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 4th floor relaxation area with 2 hammocks.
Bed made, towels and household linen provided.
Rental from Monday to Friday

Quirky and comfortable stay and a great welcome

We were amazed by the way that the windmill has been renovated. It was very comfortable for two - comfy bed in a romantic middle room and a cosy kitchen with a great view through the main door and with the option to eat outside. There are great walks and we really appreciated riding around on the bikes that we were provided with. There was plenty to do for five days. We are keen on swimming but took the advice not to swim in the Loire seriously. We found a safe pool to take a dip in a pretty tributary near one of the railway underpasses - swimming through the flowers. Best of all was the welcome that we received from Yvonnik and Claudie. They looked after us and we really kind and jolly. We had a great time - thank you for everything.

Charmé par le lieu en arrivant. C'est top, vraiment pas habituel, ça surprend. Du coup toute la famille a apprécié, et on a profité de nos 4 jours pour visiter un peu les alentours et à prendre des photos d u moulin !

Really good holiday in an unsual property

Very nice renovated mill in really quiet surroundings, but lots of things to do without having to travel too far. Good places to eat within walking distance and great for cycling. Thanks for everything Yvonnik!

Sehr liebevoll renovierte alte Mühle

Man wohnt in dieser Mühle auf 5 Etagen, jede ist sehr geschmackvoll und originell eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig. Am Ende gab es ein Foto von uns als Souvenir von der Vermieterin.

Als Familie haben wir gerne in dieser toll sanierten Mühle gewohnt. Man lebt auf engen Raum mit vielen Treppen zusammen. (Nicht geeignet für Menschen mit körperlichen Handicaps oder kleine Kinder). Da die Mühle auf einem kleinen Hügel mit Weinstöcken als Bewuchs steht, hat man sogar im Erdgeschoss einen tollen Ausblick, der in den oberen Etagen noch besser wird. Wir sind mit Tischen und Stühlen immer im Schatten der Mühle umgezogen. Ein begehbar Außenbereich zieht sich fast um die ganze Mühle. Trotz des Niedrigwassers in der Loire, waren wir beim Campingplatz auf unserer Flussseite schwimmen. Kanus haben wir für eine Tour flussabwärts mit Shuttleservice im Nachbarort ausgeliehenen. Leckere Backwaren gab es im Tabakladen an der Brücke. Einen großen Supermarkt gibt es auch im Ort. Die Bäckerei und das Kino hatten Sommerferien. Wir würden die Mühle an alle weiterempfehlen, die Spaß an individuellem Wohnen haben.

Heerlijke tijd in prachtige molen.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in deze prachtig gerestaureerde molen. De liefde voor hun mooie plekje is goed te zien. De molen ligt op een schitterende plek met uitzicht over de Loire. Het is leuk te zien met hoeveel aandacht de molen is opgeknapt.

Great stay in an unusual property

We loved staying in this thoughtfully and beautifully restored windmill. Everything we needed was provided and communication with the host was excellent. We loved the unusual living space, but be prepared for stairs (short flights) as there are 5 floors. It's worth it for the hammocks on the top floor though! The location was perfect for walking and cycling the well marked routes along the Loire, and there are many recommended tourist spots to visit not too far away. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy an unusual getaway in the beautiful French countryside.

Wir wurden herzlich in der wunderschön restaurierten Mühle empfangen und persönlich trotz Sprachhinderninssen in die Gegebenheiten eingewiesen. Das Haus war sehr sauber und mit allen nötigen Sachen ausgestattet. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants befinden sich in erlaufbarer Umgebung. Baden in der Loire ist gut möglich und empfehlenswert. Die Übergabe bei Abreise ging problemlos von statten. Rundherum ein schöner Urlaub. Vielen lieben Dank!
