「We booked a room for 2, but an extra twin bed was already there, so we are given a room for 3. The room is classic, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning (but only Reception can adjust the temperature ) The wooden floor squeaks when stepped on . During our stay the elevator was out of order for a few hours, but quickly fixed. Breakfast is decent. Overall very one here is very nice .」

「We chose to spend a night here for our honeymoon. The hotel provides a very convenient—and free—shuttle service, which is incredibly thoughtful given that Varenna is a town nestled on a hillside. They can pick you up and drop off anytime from either the train station or the ferry pier ! The location is also perfect—right across from the church and just a short walk to the romantic lakeside path. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warm hospitality and pleasantly surprised us with a room...

「There are ants inside the toilet. And the shower place is not fully covered so water would spill out which makes the toilet floor very wet. Also there is no lift ,need to climb up stairs to reach the room. Although the host is very kind to come down to pick us up and point us to the room directly, so we don’t need to go higher up to the reception to do the check in. Check in time is strict and reception is not 24 hours open. The view however is amazing, the top floor with the restaurant...
