Fort Augustus Church is only 11km away and welcomes all worshippers. Beautiful, historical cottage "Loch Ness Granary", detached, built in 1700, renovated in 2023. On the outskirts, 1 km from the centre of Invermoriston, in a secluded, sunny position, 20 m from the lake. For shared use: meadow, lawn for sunbathing, beautiful garden to relax, courtyard. Rowing boat (Local agreement). Pre-arrival grocery service. Airport transfer (extra). 4x4 car recommended in winter. Parking at the house. Shop 1 km, grocery 1 km, supermarket 40 km, restaurant 2 km, café 2 km, bus stop "Invermoriston" 1 km, railway station "Inverness" 40 km. Golf course (18 hole) 18 km, riding stable 20 km. Nearby attractions: Urquhart Castle 20 km, Loch Ness Monster exhibition 20 km, Glen Affric 40 km, Invermoriston Waterfalls 1 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Loch Ness 20 m. Amazing place! Excellent find from Vrbo site. The property is exactly what is says online. We love the idea of an old granary converted into a living space keeping the original outside structure intact. The place is very private and quiet. There’s tons of place for everyone and the most picturesque in place in front of Loch Ness. The hosts Marion and Dennis are so accommodating and delightful people to talk to. Dan from Inter Home is also very helpful. We would stay in this place again.

Beautiful estate on Loch Ness

The Granary is on a courtyard surrounded by a main house occupied by the hosts, Dennis and Marion, and out buildings supporting maintenance of the grounds and facilities. The grounds are extensive and gorgeous.The location is 45 minutes to Inverness, 15 minutes to Urquhart Castle and close to Fort Augustus, Fort William and Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK.Communications with the management company did not include an address - the estate is just north of Invermoriston village where there’s a wonderful inn and restaurant so don’t go too far north up the highway before pulling left into the estate.We would stay here again. It was lovely.
