  • Holly House is a 2 family Victorian home within close proximity to downtown Ipswich, beaches, train, hiking, kayaking, biking, restaurants and shopping! Enjoy a stylish experience in this 2nd floor (no neighbors above) home away from home with dedicated work space, comfy bedrooms/living room, in unit laundry and well stocked kitchen. A great retreat for couples, families, remote working/learning, nature enthusiasts, beach lovers, corporate stays, girl's weekends, holidays stays, a getaway from your home construction project and more!

We loved our stay! Great location—next door to a top rated restaurant (was unfortunately closed while we were there), and close to Crane Beach. Quick drive to so many other nearby towns. Very clean and spacious.

Ipswich is a town with good folk. The VRBO was an easy walk to a friendly New England village. From the brewery to the restaurants it was a great place to unwind and feel like a local.

Beautiful house in convenient location for our yearly girls trip! Perfect Place for our Family Stay

We loved this property. It had all we needed for our stay on the North Shore. We loved how everything was set up for our stay. Our kids enjoyed playing the board games in between outings. We enjoyed Russel Orchards and Appleton Farms and loved our time in Ipswich. Great gratitude for such a lovely stay.

This was a wonderful find! The second floor apartment was exactly as Denise described, clean and beautifully updated, the perfect size for us with two bedrooms. The kitchen was plentifully equipped, even had sharp food-prep knives (a rare thing in most places). The house is located on a busy street, but she even thought to have white-noise machines in both bedrooms to lessen the sound of traffic. As listed, it was very close to town (restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations) and a short, scenic drive to Crane Beach and Gloucester. A definite 10/10!!

Fall getaway

This is a great base location. We enjoyed a day touring Ipswich, a day at Crane Castle and Beach, 2 days touring Salem, a day in Boston, and spooky visits to Lizzie Borden's House and the Conjuring House. The kitchen was well stock with the basics for making meals and having laundry facilities allowed us to pack light.

Great Place in a Beautiful Area

Holly House was a beautiful home. It is clean and located in a convenient location, yet out of the way from the town hustle and bustle. We had a wonderful mother/daughter trip visiting a friend, touring the areas of Boston and Salem, as well as learning more about Ipswich and its history.

Perfect location, clean & comfortable

So many thoughtful details. Extremely comfortable beds, quality linens, responsive hosts, proximity to beaches, surrounding quaint towns, local, restaurants, and the train to explore even more. We had a great time with Holly House 2 as our home base. For sure will return to this spot!
