“We enjoyed our stay at La Casa del Alux in February and would stay there again. It was a very positive, though not perfect, apartment in a quiet part of the town on a lagoon.
We liked the cleanliness of the apartment, the functional air conditioner, the very pleasant housecleaner Bety, the location, and the nice balcony with a hammock. The apartment is three blocks from the beach and two blocks away from Bilu, the best breakfast/brunch restaurant we found on the island. It was an easy 10……

“Casa Mar was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary with a week away and we would definitely do it again. An added perk we didn’t even realize until arriving was that this house is associated with the Awa hotel brand and you get all the perks of the hotel that is within a 5 minute walk. We loved everything about the experience. Manuel and Maria took great care of us as well!”

“Host was very attentive and helpful (arranged taxi, early cleaning). Unit and grounds are nice and quiet.
Downsides: badly damaged kitchen tiles, king bed had queen-size sheet and only two pillows, initially short on towels, two beach towels smelled, and the location is far from the city/not walkable—we spent over $120 USD on taxis.
Good service, but unit needs better maintenance and clearer location expectations.
