After correspondence with the host on the Thursday we arrived on the island just after 4pm Saturday, I contacted the host about how to get in to the property. Soon after she txt saying our stay had been cancelled. I hadn’t received an email or refund or anything. As we were only staying 2 nights on the island and we had my 3 year old neice with us we had to start phoning around the tiny island for accommodation. I spoke to the host over the phone and it turns out she doesn’t have a licence for renting out her property so really shouldn’t have been advertising it in the first place. After speaking with her I received an email cancelling the stay, an hour after the check in time and I was refunded 2 days later. I really hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else, the property is on a tiny island with few other options for accommodation.
