Almost Heaven

It is hard to beat ocean front at Wild Dunes. To be critical, there was construction on the building next to us. They started before 8am every day. Nothing like starting your day to banging and the sounds of grinders and air hammers. We do ocean front to hear the surf! Quiet time is supposed to be until 10am!!

Great getaway

Gorgeous views! Not exactly ocean front but screened in porch gives direct view of the Tidewater pool and off to the center/right the beautiful ocean. Located on 3rd floor and has a really cute loft area where you can see the ocean and stars at night. Small kitchen but nicely appointed and all dishes/appliances you would need. Has ice maker in freezer. Small front loading W/D. Nice King bed and bedroom opens to screened in porch. Short walkway to beach. Rented bicycles and brought our own beach chairs, although there are plenty you can rent. Nice gated community at Wild dunes but mostly geared toward families with children. Restaurants were good but very, very overpriced. Better restaurants and bars located near public beach access (Coda deal pesce was our favorite!). Quiet hours enforced after 10pm which gave us a break from screaming kids. Curtains were hard to pull together and pull back and slight musty odor in apt, perhaps due to old carpet. Very safe area and nice to have coded entry so you don't hav to worry about keys. About 20-30min drive to Charleston (longer during rush hour) and 10-15mij drive to Mt Pleasant which had lots of commercial shops/restaurants. Overall wonderful stay!
