The house was spacious and comfortable, a good home base from which to explore Skye. It offers a beautiful view and is full of amenities. It's also a short walk down to the beach area where you can see the bridge, Castle Moil, and a couple of pubs.

Property communications with us was erratic n late. The day of check we checked in late and had to call twice to get the passcode to get the key. After checking in a lady called ( not the gentleman who we spoke with for the passcode) to say there is a water main breakdown in the area and there absolutely no water supply at the property! Not for a wash, none to flush the toilets, no tap water at all! However they promptly provided us with 5 large drinking water bottles and 2 water bottles of 2 gallons each to use for flushing in the toilet. But not a practical solution for flushing! We went out the next day without a shower nor using the toilet! Towards afternoon after 3 follow up calls - someone called to confirm that the water supply was back to normal. We ended day one and most of day two grimy and dirty ( rainy n soggy weather added to it!) till we got back to a thankfully restored water supply at the property. We request Expedia for a refund of one day’s stay if not both for the discomfort we had to experience for almost both days of our stay.

My bestie and I had a tour scheduled for the Isle of Sky that was cancelled last minute by the tour company. Since many tours, hotels, and B&B’s were booked at that point, we had to scramble to reschedule a similar tour with another company for the weekend of 6/23 to 6/25, along with finding an available place for reservation in one of the towns mandated by the tour company. Luckily, we found a tour, and this cottage. Initially when I made the reservation and paid for the cottage through Expedia, I thought I had rented the actual farmhouse, based on the cost. That was totally a mistake on my part. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, well-appointed and decorated. The weather was quite warm during our two-night stay, but we were not able to keep the windows open due to the midges. There were no fans that we could find, so sleeping in the evening was very uncomfortable. Overall, this is a very lovely place to stay and I would recommend it. I did find that the cottage is a bit overpriced for the month of June based on other places where we stayed with equal quality and amenities, if not better. Also, there needs to be at least one fan available for guests in the summer.

We had the pleasure of staying at Renata's farmhouse for a trip to the Isle of Skye. The property is beautiful, spacious, clean and tastefully designed. The location worked well for us as is is very close to both Eilean Donan castle and Broadford. It was also a pleasure meeting Renata in person - so friendly and welcoming!

Excellent! We loved staying at Old Kyle Farm. The 2BR cottage was cozy, quaint, and comfortable. Renata, the owner/hostess was amazing! She communicated wonderfully and attended to all our needs. We strongly recommend staying there.
