Despite using my Expedia Confirmation to check-in, the front desk clerk charged me a second time for my room. She said she would refund the duplicate charge, but did not. I've called twice and been told I would get a refund, but that has not happened. Not only that, they refuse to take the hold off my card for incidentals, after over a week.

Our stay at the HIE in Jackson was nice. The service was attentive and the room was clean. Breakfast was as expected with the options slightly changed up over our stay. I visited the exercise room. It's quite dated and one of the TVs didn't work. I'll live. Overall, nice stay.

Overall it was a good stay. The staff we so nice and friendly. Our room was a bit dirty. There was dirt around the edges of the carpet, hair in the bathtub, pink scum in the corner of the shower and the bar sink didnt drain very well but it was not a bad stay. Complementary breakfast was good: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, bread to toast if you want, bagels and muffins. Oj, water , apple juice and milk to drink. I would definitely stay here again.

Good stopover.
One night stay with the family. Helpful and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and had all we required for one night. I did think the rate was too high though. Breakfast was good also.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located. Room furniture is a little older and beds were just okay, not horrible but not the most comfortable either. Great options for breakfast. Would stay again.

I didnt like that they forgot to clean my room had to go to front desk to get clean towels more toilet paper and conditioner and trash bags to empty my own trash. They didint even try to correct it.

They have out of control guests living there and cannot get them to settle down and got mad at me for complaining and asked me to leave. The manager said she would refund my last night but instead I was charged additional $205 for who knows what- the manager will not returning my calls and was SO RUDE. They don’t know what they’re doing and the manager is just a ridiculous fool

The only thing I disliked, is the narrow parking in the front north, east side of the building. Although, that's easy to deal with. Friendly staff and very clean.

Horrible Stay from the Room to the Price.
We were given a handicapped accessory room. We didn’t need it or request it. There were 2 of us. Only sneak chair. No couch or other chair. Ugly, stark room with plenty of room for more furniture. No counter space in bathroom to put toiletries. Sink took up hole area. I asked at the desk if we go the worst room in the place and she said in the top ten. Asked why there wasn’t at least another chair since there were 2 people and she said they didn’t have any. They are remodeling. I saw no evidence of that. Our friends booked through Holiday Inn and called the property directly. They paid $30 less each night and had a wonderful room. Apparently, booking through your sight costs more and not less and we get the worst rooms in the place. Very disgusted. Very likely will never use Hotels.com again. Have used for years and years but I guess now that it is part of a bigger company, we get less.

The carpet was soiled and not well vacuumed in both my room and all corridors. Found long hair on bathroom floor. This hotel is just mediocre in other areas. We had two rooms for two nights and most likely won’t return.

Room 218 reeks of dirty baby diaper. I have stayed at this property for multiple years each October and I’m going to look at the Best Western next year even though I’d rather stay at the Holiday Inn.

It was ok
The hotel was ok. Not what I'm use to seeing with a Holiday Inn. The front desk help was not very friendly. Seemed like more of an inconvenience for her to check me in. The room was satisfactory but a little rough and outdated. The bed was very firm and not very comfortable. The rest of the hotel also seemed a bit rough and outdated.
