Great Location to Mayo

The house is in a great location for anyone visiting Mayo hospital. The neighborhood was nice and it felt safe. Grocery stores and restaurants were also very close by. The house is an older house but the renovations made it look and feel more modern. The linens were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall the house was clean but could use some touch up paint on the walls and baseboards to make it feel cleaner.

A bit disappointing

We were hoping this would be a great home to spend Christmas week in. The positive: responsive property manager, slept 9, open living area, small fire pit, clutter free, could walk in neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants. The negative: read as having a fully stocked kitchen, which we were banking on to cook Christmas dinner and had only a few pots and no pans. All spatulas, etc. were unclean. The property seemed as if it had not been looked after recently- very dusty, dirty bathrooms and kitchen. The refrigerator seal was ripped off and not cooling (which luckily we fixed ourselves). Listed as new appliances- not so. Hated that we had to spend Christmas Day cleaning before family gathering. Kind of defeated the point of spending thousands on a VRBO! I will say that the property manager responded very quickly to our messages and delivered a brand new set of cookware, clean sheets (as others were stained) and a new coffee pot (other cracked) the day after Christmas, which was greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, it was still a lot of money for a disappointing experience. I hope they work to improve, as the home has a lot of potential. By the way… not really waterfront. Marsh way off in distance.
