The Amelia

We attended an event on the Island. We had easy access to the event and a beautiful view of the ocean. So relaxing despite some rain and wind. Lovely condo. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Worn out

Property is old and needs to be updated. Property mgr. replaced pots, pants, cookie sheets, wine, glasses, cutting boards, bowls, teapot after we reported how awful they were. Carpets are filthy. Shower doors are etched and stained and black mold was growing in the master shower. Property manager promises all will be corrected and unit is being taken off the market until clean up is complete.

Disappointed

I suppose I should have paid more attention upon booking (albeit it was somewhat last minute). Very few reviews, but we were going for the location, views, and a nice place to gather. Carpets were filthy, kitchen cabinets chipped, dated upstairs bathrooms, uncomfortable beds, windows that needed serious scrubbing or replacing. Very disappointed. It was not inexpensive either over Xmas holiday. I would recommend spending a little more for a nicer condo. Having said that, the common living area was a very comfortable gathering space, beach is beautiful and easily accessible, plenty of parking, good communication with host.
