"Staying at the High Desert Retreat is so fun. It’s very close to San Diego but feels like a different world. The acreage around the property is a wonderful place to hike around and explore. I love coming here for a long weekend and will be back."

"A great spot to stay for two nights while we did the 16 mile Goat Trestle Bridge hike. Comfortable, clean, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The grounds are wonderful with hiking trails, pools, hot tub, and a fun bar / restaurant. Would definitely reccomend and would stay ..."
