Neat and tidy

Overall resort was very neat and tidy. The staff were friendly and the Koswerf had good food. My only complaint is that our room smelt of smoke and the bed needs replacing.

Step back in time (in a good way)

Not sure why the average rating is so low but this place sure deserves a better overall rating. Anyways, check-in staff were lethargic with zero smiles or welcoming nature (someone needs to remind them that they work in hospitality). This is an old-school type homely resort with so much to offer. Great location. Great activities. Amazing heated pools - especially at this time of year! Excellent for families - would most definitely return.

Worse Holiday Accommodation ever...

To be honest, i won't even stay there for free. Everything on the internet is misrepresented and the pictures must be outdated. Nothing in that place works not even the heated swimming pool or the aircons and it was freezing cold. The cleanliness is on another level because even the bedding was dirty and had stains. No daily housekeeping but the place had no cleaning material apart from the weakest dishwasher liquid one can get and the expectation is that one must buy a washing and drying cloths and a scourer sponge from the shop if you want to clean utensils, cups, glasses etc. ATKV Drakensville spoiled a family holiday for us and i would not recommend this place for a LSM 3 above family.

Family getaway in the mountains

Very comfortable beds. Lovely warm swimming pool. Lots of activities for children. The accommodation is ideal for families who don't always need to eat in restaurants and are happy to bbq.

OUr stay was very pleasant and all the staff are very helpful and friendly, except the kids activities we disappointing as the only took a few kids and most of the activities we already fully book when we got there. But the only thing that upset me was that I paid extra to get my disability dad a treat for breakfast in bed, which was not delivered at ll in the 3 days stay and I was not refunded for the breakfast either
