This is a 5+++++++ star hotel, +’s never ending. Everything here is perfect, all thanks to the incredible staff! I started writing names down of everyone who was going above and beyond and pretty soon, the names were inclusive of everyone! It was a lucky day when I booked this for five nights — everything is incredibly perfect! Clean room, amazing, accommodating breakfast, awesome, roof hot bar with the most amazing staff. and the best staff ever all throughout the hotel every day, every minute! I would definitely recommend and would love to come back. Thank you, thank you for everything… What a wonderful introduction to Indonesia!

The Hermitage is a wonderful property to stay at in Jakarta. If you like to walk there are restaurants and shopping close by the hotel. The staff at the Hermitage are professional, customer oriented and more than willing to assist you in anyway. The room is very comfortable and the bed is especially welcome after a long flight. We have stayed here before and will stay here again.

Ab excellent Marriott property. The warmth and friendliness of the staff made our stay comfortable and well worth it. Except breakfast. Use of the Club Lounge to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing was really a welcome! Good selection of spirits and cocktails with a pretty good spread of dinner.

Staff were very courteous & polite. All the staff including securities from morning until evening made you feel very special 🙂. One of the best hotel I ever stayed. Special thanks to fellow named Satria, who was very helpful more then one occasion 😀. Hotel itself is a old colonial building which has been converted in to an unique hotel. I wish stayed there longer.

The staff were genuine, attentive, and kind. The hotel has a beautiful combination of old Dutch and Indonesian styles. It felt like stepping back in time, yet everything was very well maintained. The food was delicious. Both our in room service dinner and breakfast were fabulous. One evening, I was not feeling well, and the reception staff kindly sent me a warm tea. The next day, they even asked if I was feeling better. What genuine care! This was especially appreciated by our family after traveling from one place to another. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention makes such a big difference. It made us feel as though we were coming home to family, a home away from home. 😊 The location is fantastic, close to so many of the things you’ll want to see and do in Jakarta. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back!

A truly characterful stay. Housed in a beautifully restored 1920s Art Deco building in leafy Menteng, The Hermitage strikes a rare balance – heritage grandeur paired with genuinely modern comfort. The rooms are elegant and impeccably kept, the lobby full of lovely period detail, and the rooftop delivers some of the finest views of central Jakarta. What stood out most was the service: warm, attentive and sincere, without ever feeling stiff. Breakfast was a highlight and a wonderful introduction to Indonesian flavours, and the staff went out of their way at every turn. A peaceful, refined retreat in the heart of the city – an easy five stars, and I'd return without hesitation.
