The space

Picture a snowy afternoon in the Pocono woods. The pines outside are dusted white, but inside the pool enclosure the water is a warm 85°+ and someone is lining up a cannonball. A few steps away the sauna is heating up, the hot tub is bubbling, and the fire pit is waiting for dusk.



That's an ordinary day at Bliss A-Frame. It's 3,500 square feet of modern A-frame with magazine-worthy design and a flexible layout made for big groups, so no one feels crowded even when the weather keeps everyone inside. And it's tucked off the beaten path, just 15 minutes from historic Jim Thorpe.



A day at Bliss A-Frame...



Morning

Sunlight pours in through the soaring chalet windows. Our coffee station is stocked with coffee and all the fixings, so grab a mug, settle in by the glass or step out onto the deck, and let the house wake up slowly. On chilly mornings the natural gas fireplaces come on with the thermostat, no firewood needed.



Afternoon

The pool is the heart of the place: the newest Modpools heated container pool, sheltered by a full all-weather enclosure. Rain, sleet, hail or snow, the swim goes on. We keep the water at 85°+ and the heating is included in your stay. When summer arrives, the enclosure retracts for open-air swimming.

Stretch out on a lounger and watch the kids in the water while the rest of the crew drifts between the hot tub, the sauna and the sun deck. It's all within earshot, so nobody misses a thing. Out in the yard there's cornhole, outdoor "beer" pong and axe throwing, plus five cruiser bikes when someone wants to explore.



Evening

Fire up the gas grill and gather around the outdoor table, which seats 14. Or cook in the chef's kitchen, a modern, fully equipped space with stainless-steel appliances and everything you need to host a proper dinner. Counter seating for 10 plus a table for 6 means all 16 of you eat together. If you're hunting for the place to host this year's holiday, this is it.



Night

With three separate entertaining spaces, styled with West Elm and Crate & Barrel pieces, the night can go in every direction at once. There's a pool table, poker table, air hockey, shuffleboard, an arcade machine and a bar area, plus big sofas and chairs, board games and one giant Samsung smart TV in the ground-floor game room for movies, karaoke or your playlist. Finish under the stars at the fire pit or out on one of two balconies, each with room to gather.

The bedrooms have no TVs, on purpose. Bliss is about time together, and those rooms are for a great night's sleep.

Every season has its own reason

Winter means ski days at Big Boulder, Jack Frost, Blue Mountain and Camelback, then a warm swim when you get back. Summer brings the sand beach at the community lake (Memorial Day to Labor Day), whitewater rafting five minutes down the road and trails at Hickory Run State Park. Any time of year, historic Jim Thorpe aka “Little Switzerland” is a quick 15-minute drive.

The Bliss way

Bliss is about family and friends making memories, in a home that's fun and relaxing at the same time. We're in a peaceful neighborhood that's sensitive to music and bass, so think laughter and late-night card games rather than loud music or shouting. If you're planning a party, a late-night event or a boisterous gathering, another host will be a better fit. Our full house rules are under "Other things to note."



Guest access

The whole place is yours: the A-frame, the enclosed pool, the hot tub, sauna, fire pit, sun deck, outdoor dining area, lawn games and both balconies.



Arriving

Check yourself in with the door keypad. Our two driveway areas comfortably fit 6-7 cars, so please leave the community streets clear.



The pool

Before we share the pool cover code, everyone staying at the property needs to watch our Pool Video Waiver and confirm they've seen it. Pool hours are 6 AM to midnight, and the Pool Rules sign is in our photo gallery.



Beach and lake

Enjoy the sand beach and lake access at the community lake from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Other things to note

Booking details

The guest who books must be 25 or older and stay for the whole trip, from check-in through check-out. Our rates are set by dynamic pricing software that follows real-time demand in the area, so prices can move. If you love the dates, book soon to lock in today's rate.



Staying a week?

Stays of 7 nights or more get a discount. If you later shorten your trip to 6 nights or fewer, the discount drops off and the total can end up higher than the longer stay. We can't pro-rate it for shorter stays, so plan with that in mind.



What we stock, and what to pack

You'll find a weekend's worth of supplies: 16 bath towels, a hand towel and makeup towel in each bathroom, 8 jumbo toilet paper rolls, 2 paper towel rolls, 6 dishwasher pods, 4 laundry pods and 6 kitchen trash bags. Please pack washcloths, pool towels and fresh firewood for the fire pit. Grocery stores and markets are within 15 minutes for bigger groups or longer stays. If the grill's propane runs low, refill it locally, send us the receipt and we'll happily pay you back.



Good to know

The home has a standard residential water heater: it handles 3-4 hot showers back-to-back, then needs about 30 minutes to recover, so stagger showers and everyone stays warm. To keep the focus on each other, there's a single giant smart TV, in the ground-floor game room. Interested in commercial photography or filming? Reach out before you book.



House rules

We're a peaceful neighborhood, and these rules keep it that way for you and for our neighbors. They're firm, and we appreciate you honoring them.

• Quiet hours are 9 PM to 9 AM, every night with no exceptions, and we ask for low noise at all other times too.

• Each noise complaint carries a fine of $500 or more. A second complaint means mandatory eviction by the police, with no exceptions and no refunds.

• No parties or events. That includes prom parties: requests for one will be blocked and reported to Airbnb.

• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property ($500 fine).

• No fireworks.

• All trash goes inside the bins. Trash left outside the enclosure draws wildlife and carries a $500 fine.

• Please leave the furniture, decor, kitchen supplies and games where they are. Moving them leads to extra cleaning fees and/or a fine of $300 or more.

• Pets are welcome, so the whole family can come along.

• By booking, your group agrees to release the Host(s) from any liability.
