Beautiful property

House and property were beautiful. House had plenty of room for our large group which ranged in ages from infants to 50’s. Location was very central to all the activities we wanted to do.

Amazing!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at the house, and it was amazing! The house was perfect for couples and single people. There was enough space to hang out, play games and have dinner all together. Hot tub and sauna were a great addition to relax after all day skiing in Stowe. I wish the house was a little closer to Stowe but 40 min drive was doable. I really appreciate the responsiveness of the host and highly recommend them for booking.

Lovely well appointed home

We stayed at this lovely home for a long weekend in Feb. 2025. It was well equiped, very nicely decorated and the beds and couches were all super comfortable. I had brought food with us to cook and forgot the basics (salt, pepper, olive oil), fortunately they supplied all of that which was so nice. They even had a fresh bag of coffee and pancake mix. The mangement company was extrememly attentive, responded to all texts quickly. There was a snow storm during our stay (of course) and the driveway was plowed multiple times. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

Outstanding Vacation Experience

We can't say enough about our experience at the Ponderosa. The home is within close proximity to all sorts of nearby activities. Despite mostly rainy weather during our stay, we were able to squeeze in a fun zip lining tour about 20 minutes from the home. The Ponderosa was very well maintained and was well equipped to entertain folks of all ages. There was a croquet set, darts, a playset, sandbox, hot tub, sauna, and two arcade video games. Jayla was easily accessible and very responsive. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation in Vermont!

A fantastic family getaway

We love this place! The location, house, amenities , host all were top notch! House was clean and well appointed with everything one would need. Loved that! The location was beyond expectations! So beautiful! Love all the seating areas. Would have love a chase lounge to nap in but otherwise was perfect! Host was fantastic and well connected and approachable. The hot tube was wonderful and clean! Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit outside because it rained on the we wanted to use it. Overall a fantastic stay! We would highly recommend!

Breathtaking

This home was breathtaking. It was extremely clean. My best friend and my 2 adult daughters go away for a girls weekend every year to catch up on life and provide support to each other in our endeavors. It’s more like a women’s retreat. We refocus, reassess and when we leave we are rejuvenated. We eat amazing food ( my oldest is a chef) we enjoyed the house and jacuzzi. Everything was perfect. Even the management was super responsive when we had questions. The house was spacious and the family room down stairs was a a favorite spot to hang out. The locate is beautiful and we definitely want to go back! If you’re on the fence- jump! You won’t regret this home!

The PERFECT Getaway for a Big Family!

This house was everything we could have hoped for and more! Our family (8 adults + kids and dogs) stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving and we were honestly blown away at how much the house had to offer. The kitchen & appliances were fully stocked with everything we could have needed for big family meals, including plenty of plates, serving ware, platters, mugs/glasses, etc. despite us being a large group. The house and property grounds were beautiful and very clean. We used the hot tub and sauna daily, both which were incredible additions to an already lovely experience in the house. We also loved having the two separate living room spaces (one upstairs and one downstairs) to spread out in throughout the week. The house was well equipped for children as well. The kids (ages 6-10) loved having so much outdoor space to play and the game room downstairs was also a big hit for them. In terms of location, the house is under 15 minutes to a large grocery store and only about 25 minutes to Stowe. Overall, we couldn't recommend The Ponderosa enough! We would love to stay here again.

Recommend for a private relaxing setting.

Highly recommend this VRBO, has every amenity you could imagine... hot tub, snowshoes and more! Clean and simple individual bedrooms for privacy for the whole family. Cozy, especially during a snowstorm. The price is a little steep per night but nothing disappointed.

We had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. The house was spacious and clean with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces to congregate. Pac Man was a big hit. We cooked most nights, and the open concept, and large kitchen made it easy with all the necessary utensils. The spa was a bonus, and the yard was just incredible. The frogs in the pond were entertaining and smore's around the fire pit were great. Lots to do in the area, hiking, visits to Stowe, Johnson and Burlington. Breweries and creamy's always a delight. The team was incredibly responsive!!

Magical

The house is clean, and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. But it is the outdoors that made this place special. There’s blueberry bushes and apple trees. Irises and lupine dot the landscape. The different kinds of dragonflies are flying around teasing the frogs in the ponds. At night was my favorite. Frogs chirping and fireflies flashing in the dark of the night. Looked like fairies. Very magical and will be back next year to stay longer.

The grounds of the property are spectacular and provide a great atmosphere for you and your party to stay home and enjoy the beautiful surrou rings. The house was recently renovated and refurbished and tastefully done. And the mattresses are so comfortable - we all slept great! Overall a great experience
