Grandma’s House Weekend

We were in Juneau for a wedding and Grandma’s House was conveniently located near the airport, Auke’s Bay and downtown Juneau. While we appreciated the location, the house is on a very busy street and there is loud traffic from early morning until late at night.The room was as described online although it could use some attention to detail as the doorknob came off the bathroom door, as did one of the window openers. Doors were also squeaky.Communication with the host was slow, taking hours to get answers to my questions and getting check-in details came down to the wire.With a bit more attention to detail and maintenance, Grandma’s House could be a nice place to stay.

Homey and enjoyable!

Booking and check in were very easy! Grandmas private room was amazing and Kelli was so accommodating and helpful! I would highly recommend if you’re going to be staying in Juneau! So close and convenient to everything!

A peaceful stay in Mendenhaul Glacier valley.

There was a small glitch with my reservation, but the property manager immediately corrected it to my satisfaction and earned a 5 star rating. A lovely stay close to the glacier and bus line ($2) to downtown Juneau. Stay is very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended!

Grandma's Bedroom was quaint and exactly as advertised. Great value. Very clean and perfect for a person or couple on the cheap visiting Juneau. Close to the glacier and bus line. Best part was communication from host.

Good location

My friend and I stayed here for a few days of vacation in Juneau. We had a vehicle so that made our stay super convenient as we were near the airport and ferry terminal, and could easily make the drive into downtown when we wanted. The house was super clean and tidy, room was comfortable and check in was very easy. Only note was there was a massive wasp nest outside of the bedroom window which was interesting to watch but meant we couldn’t open the windows! I passed this on to the host who sounded like they would deal with it as soon as they could. Overall great stay.

En el baño en que nos tocó en el techo bajo y es incómodo bañarte, y la taza de baño muy pegada a la tina, eso no lo supimos hasta que habíamos contratado la habitación, por otro lado la limpieza de las áreas generales es muy mala, la sala se ve que tiene años que yo no la limpian, el mantel de la mesa es muy sucio, en general la limpieza está muy superficialmente, lo mencioné a los dueños, y me dijeron que hacen la limpieza una vez al mes y que yo debería de entender que por ser barato no podía esperar mucho más, desde mi punto de vista lo sencillo no está peleado con la limpieza
