Great trip

We love staying at Honua Kai. This unit was what was expected. The communication with Maui Resort Rentals was excellent. One of the beach chairs was broke. I texted from the beach and had a new chair in our room by the time we got back. Great service!

Overall Honua Kai was lovely, but the unit was worn and dated. Kitchen truly had basics and wasn’t well stocked. We’ve stayed at Honua Kai many times and this unit needed a lot of attention and love.

Lovely condo, PERFECT location and amenities

Overall, I would give this property a 9. I would only minus one point as we had a real issue with bugs and bug bites at night (but we also slept with the doors open to enjoy the breeze) which became an issue for my youngest son (think 10 bites tot he face over a 48hr period, YIKES!). BUT I loved the location and the resort amenities, plus the cute gift shop and cafe'. Not to mention direct beach access, a restaurant and the ability to rent beach gear and pool stuff. This place is worth every penny. We will be BACK!

Hawaii getaway

Everything was perfect. Only hiccup is our flight arrived earlier than expected and we asked about an earlier check in. Messaged the host who said the cleaners would message when they finished cleaning. Mind you it was maybe 2.5 hrs before normal check in at 4. Cleaners never messaged and we checked in at 4 on the dot. We had to wait around in the foyer with our luggage. Which was fine, just more of a hassle the first few hours. After that, everything was good. Partial ocean view is partial at best. Prob cause of nature landscaping. And tbh it didn’t affect us much. We would stay there again given the opportunity.
