Great location, fantastic view

Such a relaxing stay at this clean and cozy property. Saw whales and sea turtles everyday from our lanai. Very quiet area with a couple of good restaurants in walking distance.

Beautiful Spot

Loved this spot! It is a great location with an unbeatable view. The condo is small but that worked well for just two of us, and it was very clean. Jim was super kind and helpful in the midst of frustrating delays with our airline. We would definitely stay here again!

Good location, great view with whales jumping and turtles swimming by, plenty of parking, quite at night. The place is in need of updating. The sandy beach is left next door and over a few sand bags. Overall its not bad.

The best view

The view of Molokai and Lanai islands and the ocean is beautiful. The sunsets spectacular. No beach directly in front, only sand bags. There is a beach next door. High tide a bit loud, but otherwise wonderful.Everything good. Easy checkin. Maybe carpet upgrade in future. Mahalo

The location is superb. We watched whales and rainbows with our morning coffee on the lanai every morning. We listened to the waves and watched the sunset and the conch every evening. The studio was the perfect size for 2 people and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and addressed our concerns promptly. Location was also great-close to beaches, snorkelling and hiking. Can’t wait to go back!

Owner was easy to contact pre-trip. Accommodations met my needs. Murphy bed was comfortable, the shower hot water came on immediately, and there were hooks (not sure why most places don’t have them!). I went to Maui to volunteer and the location was perfect for the places I went. And, I have always loved the neighborhood feel in this section of the island.

We enjoyed staying at Jim and Sue’s place. The views are amazing and the location is a short drive to beautiful beaches and restaurants. The condo has a homey feel and we were sad to have to leave! Definitely recommend and will check to see if the condo is available on our next Maui trip.

Since we’ve been to Maui several times we’ve done the tourist things so we spend most of the time enjoying the view/water. The Murphy bed was very easy to use and we used the kitchen many times.

Lovely studio overlooking the ocean

I'm so grateful to have had a wonderful week in Jim's condo. The location is great near lots of places to walk to to eat and within 15 minutes of some beautiful beaches. The bed was comfortable and the provisions in the kitchen were excellent. Jim was very responsive and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more thank you so much!

Great Stay!

The owners were easy to communicate with and resourcesful. The condo was absolutely perfect and the location was beautiful. Stunning sunsets every night and short drive from anywhere you want to go on this side of the island. The sound of the waves crashing was so peaceful I had to find a you tube channel to mimic them when I got home. But you can't beat the real thing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our visit and this is the perfect place to see whales, turtles and beautiful sunsets. Listening to the ocean every night makes you sleep like a baby. The condo was clean. They do need to make sure there are enough blankets, we only had one for the bed and we were not able to contact anyone to bring another for the fouton.

The perfect home away from home! The pictures on this listing do not do the property justice. It was amazing. The bed was so comfortable, loved the updated bathroom, and the view was like no other. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. I was worried about not having AC but it wasn’t bad at all, we actually got a little cool in the evenings. Would definitely book again!

A Gem

There are only 2 downfalls to staying here. One, the very tiny bugs, my husband did not particularly enjoy these guys bit we were warned. There is a pool area if you want to escape the sun on the beach, however I call this area The Voetex. It is very windy and not enjoyable for me. There was a little matter i wanted to discuss and I tried calling the property manager but wasn't able to dial out for some reseon. Definitely user error but the owner was communicative via email. Good location! A perfect home away from home.

Had a great time. The condo was very nice. The murphy bed was very comfortable. We cooked breakfast in every morning and ate on the balcony, now that's paradise. The next to the last morning we were there, saw one of the most amazing whale breaching performances that you'll ever see. At least two adult males, one was HUGE, and one younger whale starting breaching. The 2 adults breached over a dozen times (we lost count) and the younger one at least a half dozen times. Absolutely incredible. We also grilled some supper meals. The resort has 3 super nice Weber gas grills available for use by the pool, which are totally cleaned every day. The parking was free, not the case at a lot of the other resorts. Got to meet Jim and Sue, the condo owners, super nice!! Very nice pool area. Had a really great time in Maui, but that starts with where you stay, and this place was wonderful.

Beautiful Stay

We stayed 7 nights at this property. We loved every second of being here. The views from the balcony were incredible. We chose to eat many meals out here, as the full kitchen provided a great space to cook up fresh food from the local farmers markets. The bed was surprisingly comfortable & the sounds of the ocean along with the fresh breeze created a luxury sleeping environment. The bathroom was very nice, separate toilet/tub from sink was nice for 2 people getting ready. Many provided amenities (coffee pot, iron, toaster, etc.), all in great condition. Only thing to note is that there is no a/c. It did get slightly warm in the evenings when the sun was hitting the balcony. We found it to be helpful keeping the sliding door open all day, having the ceiling fans on & keeping the blinds on either side of the door closed at all time. The condo is a very short drive to Lahaina where there are many shops/ restaurants. There is not a ton within a short walking distance but we did enjoy the beach bar at the condos next door as well as the coffee shop in the strip mall across the street. Overall a great stay, would recommend for couples (2 people max. fit in this space)!

Extremely Poor Sleeping Conditions. Mattress and Sofa/bed dilapidated

It’s with a heavy heart I’m writing this review. The owner Jim informed me his wife Sue had recently pass away. Prayers for her, Jim and their family. I don’t like to write negative reviews but my fellow travelers deserve honest and accurate information on where to stay and the conditions they are getting. This condo in its present condition is unlivable. My teenage son and I spent 9 nights at Jim's Condo for the Christmas holiday. We were unable to sleep on the mattress or the sofa. Both are extremely old and dilapidated. After not being able to sleep, I inspected the mattress. It's completely collapsed and has a piece of foam on top of it to keep you from feeling the springs. I sent photos and an email to the owner Jim who lives in Minnesota. He sent his friend Tom of 20 years over (he lives in the same condo complex) to assess the mattress. Tom took pictures, measurements and agreed the mattress was collapsed and needed to be replaced. I never heard anything else from Tom or Jim. We spent 9 nights at this condo. Knowing his recent loss, I sent another email to Jim the day before we left to update him on other items that needed to be addressed. The toilet was running all the time and shower faucet handle was loose. Jim said he and Tom were going to do research for the mattress replacement. * Sleeping on the floor was uncomfortable and the old carpet has waves in it like the ocean. * The sofa sleeper has to be over 30+ years old and in worse condition than the mattress. You can feel the sofa sleeper springs through the dilapidated cushions. Behind the sofa is a piece of plywood that fits under the sofa cushions so you don't feel the springs. This condo does overlook the ocean- Please note there is no beach at the waters edge on this property. They have huge sandbags piled up at least 8 to10 feet high. The crashing of waves at night up against these sand bags sounds like thunder in a bad storm. Just don’t expect the sounds of waves to lull you to sleep. *I have pictures but this review did not allow me to attach them. *** We paid Premium Christmas pricing and was not even able to sleep in the bed or use the sofa due to owner neglect. Owner offered no assistance.

AMAZING!

Our first time visiting Maui and first time using VRBO. All I can say is WOW!! Everything was easy from registration to excellent communication w/ Jim & Sue. Just amazing!! Condo #307 was WOW! Super clean (I didn't have any communication w/ Shaka Cleaning but they did an EXCELLENT JOB..coming from a germaphobe) everything was clean, tidy, and in their proper place. The views from the room was SUPERB and just MAGNIFICENT!! You usually pay an arm and a leg for such AMAZING views. The best part was hearing the waves at night and waking up with the ocean view. It was WONDERFUL!! Thank you Jim, Sue, and Shaka Cleaning for a wonderful stay!! You made our stay simply MARVELOUS!
