Overal it’s OK. The bar and eating area by the river if you like nature! Open plan toilet is awful! No comments for the shower!

You get what you pay for.
The ambiance is nice and relaxing, as is the rest of town. The location is a nice 10ish minute walk across the bridge on the other side of the river. If ever back in town, I wouldn't stay here again though, no hot water and very poor water power (not enough to wash hair).
We were group of 5 people who all came from different country to do volunteer work in Phnom Penh and came to Kampot during weekend holiday. Room was absolutely clean and some have hot water, which is good. Hotel staff were all friendly and nice. right after arrival, we went to this awesome place recommended by hotel staff and we had an amazing experience there where we can have great mean including vegetarian foods and we can swim in the river with great view.
They have their restaurant and we enjoyed breakfast there, too. They took care of our tour to Bokor mountain and Kep.
One thing which made me a little disappointed was that they didnt properly manage the amount of money we paid to them for tour. eventually they found we all paid and we were all good, so that's not a big deal, but alittle disappointed.
Yet overall, it was a pleasant stay especially with this reasonable price.
Good loction just a short walk over the bridge to the town. Staff were very attentive and e food there was great. Lovely little place to stay with a good bar/restaurant overlooking the river. The only draw back was that there was no ability to take a shower during the day. Only early morning and late at night.
River view, rooms in good condition, staff can help you with all you want to do in Kampot. One of the best accomodation we have had in Southeast Asia.

Disliked: Staff & service
Low cost riverfront
Good value if you are on a budget and sharing room. We stayed one night on way to Sihanoukville . Meals only available in evening no breakfast or lunch..
The relaxing atmosphere of the River Lodge is almost hypnotic. I loved watching boats drift by at sunset, and the cold Cambodian beer served with a smile.
The room itself was nice and clean and well worth the price. The bar and eating area, although it does overlook the river it's a little shabby. Could do with a bit of TLC overall but not unpleasant. In the evenings a nightclub next door plays music very loud but it stops by 12 so not too bad, only thing is the bar guy then tries to play his rock metal music even higher, not a problem for us but might be for the others. They only serve food after 6pm so you have to go out to eat anything in the day, even breakfast! the food is actually really nice though, made from scratch by their cook, her spring rolls are delicious, food takes a little while as she is on her own. Usually the way everywhere in cambodia though. The staff were very helpful getting us a motorbike and booking our bus for us and a generally nice atmosphere to the place. Feels safe there and their pet dogs are all so friendly, even the Rottweiler, he's a gentle giant!! All in all I would stay here again yeah!
