Feel like you are in the forest in a beautiful home.

The house did not disappoint. Very well appointed. Nice touches around the place. Arty and comfortable with a feeling to just relax. An amazing view, secluded and warm. I can see is coming back again. We think this is the one of getaway that works in both winter and summer.

Relaxing

Very relaxing with lots of bird life including a lyrebird wandering round the house making all sorts of odd noises. Very lucky.

Great getaway!

A fabulous property with a number of highlights...the hot tub, comfy beds and stunning view of the valley being right up there! We took advantage of the outdoors, the dogs loved exploring the garden and the firepit was incredibly relaxing. The kitchen is really well equipped with all the baking equipment you would need...except for kitchen scales (the pizza dough was a disaster lol). The only tip i would give other guests is to bring towels....the weather was cold and wet and with only 1 towel per person they just didnt dry.

Not what I expected

You can tell the property has been a labour of love by the Owners and very unique and personal home with some beautiful craftsmanship throughout. However I was was disappointed, the photos on the site make the property look more luxurious than what you actually get. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind and was very wet, we did utilise the spa BUT one thing that annoyed me was a lock had been put on the laundry cupboard so we couldn’t dry any of our wet towels clothes and no hanging space anywhere for them to dry . Maybe if the weather had been nicer we could have utilised the space outside more which had larger dining table etc that wasn’t really on offer in doors . The beds and sheets were luxurious and bathrooms clean with nice little touches . Overall it was a nice stay but I wouldn’t book again .

Perfect country getaway.

Exactly as advertised. Comfortable cosy place with all amenities available. Unfortunately we had terrible weather so couldn't enjoy the outdoor entertaining area. Would very happily stay here again. Also bed linen is amazing!

Good location, beautiful house but not clean

Easy check in. But when we got to the property it was obvious that the place was not cleaned properly. * empty bottles in recycling basket * kitchen drawers had crumbs, dried up sauce, dust, and dirt on plates * the rug in the family room was dusty with lint and hair * the freezer had ripped ice bag with scattered ice cubes * the toilet bowl in the family room was stained with dry splatter of faeces (we had to buy a bleach & ended up cleaning it) * dusty floor and dead insects * courtyard was dusty and had flies. Not comfortable to hang and sit around. At the end we ended up cleaning the whole place to feel comfortable instead of having a relaxing weekend! Cleanliness is paramount particularly during the current COVID-19 pandemic. I am concerned that this practice was not strictly observed and managed in the property. The property is at a good location. The views are nice. Beds were comfortable. Well furnished. Overall okay stay, the cleanliness is biggest downer.

Lyra is the perfect getaway. Everything was perfect.

We had 3 wonderful days resting while our 17yo studied for HSC. Lyra was peaceful with birdsong waking us each morning. Close enough to Berry and Kangaroo Valley shops it was the perfect location to explore as well. We’d definitely go back

We love Lyra!

Lyra is stunning. A beautiful house surrounded by bush and birdsong - we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The kitchen is outstanding, it has everything you could want. The outdoor area was beautiful and we enjoyed the sunset and some wine whilst heating the pizza oven. We also made use of the jacuzzi, which was nice and clean. The indoor fireplace kept us warm all night, and Fuffy, their resident cat is the sweetest girl. Thankyou for a very enjoyable weekend, we (2 adults and our dog) can't wait to return!

Ah the Tranquillity!

Hard to know where to start. Awesome! This is the place to go to connect with your inner nature/bush feelings. Loved everything about this house, its attention to detail and its outdoor settings. From listening to the Lyrebirds every day to a very affectionate resident Fluffy the cat who socialised well with our fur kids, just amazing! Our only negative was some minor teething problems with the tv and blown globes. We are already planning our next visit.

A Must Stay

If you wants place to unwind with family and friends with beautiful surroundings and a stunning house Lyra House is for you! No detail is over looked from the most luxurious beds and linens, towels and all the luxury of organic product to a kitchen that most people would be envious of. Outside the seated dinning area and pizza oven is the kick back evening location. In cooler months we would have jumped in the heated spar and lit the fire pit but not on 38 plus summers days. You really do not need to bring much just fresh food and matching drinks . Enjoy we did thank you Vickie and the rest of our group !

Lyra is stunning

I stumbled across Lyra as a brand new listing and just had a good feeling about it. I was not wrong. This place is stunning, the view was incredible, the house has so much character. the care that was taken to build this house from the timber and rocks from the surrounding site really adds to the feel of this place. Being set amongst the trees, high on the hill kept the heat away. A really well-stocked pantry of all the basic needs plus fresh bread and eggs from one of the local farms made breakfast in the morning even easier. Thank you for offering up your lovely home. We will definitely be back!
