Wonderful unique house

Weekend bliss

We had a delightful two nights in Kangaroo Valley staying at Hampden House. It is a charming house and garden with everything you could need. It is a credit to its owner Karen.

What a credit to Karen our host , previous reviews say it all, we were there for a wedding other than that we just sat back and enjoyed the property did not need to go anywhere else . short 10 minute walk to the cafes etc Thank you Karen we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .

Perfect historical home

Thank you Karen for sharing your historical home. Attention to detail was outstanding. Freshly cut roses from the garden were placed in every room. Peaceful location in tranquil gardens. Highly recommended.

Wonderful getaway

The property was like staying in a museum of Kangaroo Valley, but with modern amenities. Fully equipped kitchen, and nice welcoming staples, which were important as we arrived after the stores in Kangaroo Valley had closed for the day. There were lots of places to sit a relax with others or on your own. Walk to town was very enjoyable. I would recommend this for adults, as I know I would not have relaxed with children around because of all the wonderful dishes and ornaments. I would highly recommend this place.

Easter @ Hampton House

We had the most amazing weekend at Hampton House. The hospitality of the owner was just wonderful. I have never felt so welcomed before. Thank you so much Karen. The property is so private and peaceful. We had so much fun with the pool and the kids loved playing in the river. We will love to come back again one day.

We were visiting Kangaroo Valley for a family friend’s wedding. We booked into Hampton House and the house was amazing. Beautiful old house with surprises at every turn. Blissfully addictive!

This was our third stay at Hampden House, and it won't be our last. If you are looking for a place where your every day life anxieties melt away; a place where the host invests her time to make sure your time is perfect; and a place you will want to return to time and time again then this property is for you. Everything you need

In a lovely part of Australia, the property is very well equipped and has everything you need. The host responds quickly and leaves some food and drink essentials for use during the stay. The property has a nice homely feel with plenty of areas outside to sit and relax. It’s a short walk to the village where there are a few shops and restaurants.

A beautiful relaxing getaway

Such a lovely place to stay Beautiful house on beautiful grounds. The house is like taking a step back in time. Full of antiques and wonderfully put together, with lovely cosy bedrooms. Right in the heart of the village a perfect location. The garden is wonderful and it leads right down to the river. Karen is a perfect host and puts out some delicious goodies for your stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Luxury cottage

Hampden House is a beautiful cottage located on the river front and a short stroll from the main shopping strip. Abundantly laden citrus and fruit trees surround the house, with stunning views of the escarpment. Inside, every detail has been thought of, all the kitchen staples are provided and more! Lovely treats, decadent toiletries, sumptuous beds with electric heating, piles of wood for the fire. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Magical!

This is a very special property. The house is full of antiques and wonderful old photos & prints, yet it also has all the mod cons to be completely comfortable. The garden leads down to the river, which is so beautiful & perfect for a cool down. Or if you prefer to swim in a pool you will not be disappointed. The pool is beautiful, surrounded by huge sandstone pavers. The house is an easy walk to town for restaurants, cafes, markets etc. And, the owner filled the house with treats which we thoroughly enjoyed! We will be back!
