Upon arriving at the hotel, staff greeted with a smile! Not every hotel front desk I have encountered always smiles but this one was an exception! The hotel was still decorated with all the decors from Christmas and it felt lively in the lobby. The room was very clean and even the utensils were clean. Trust me, when you book a hotel stay with a kitchen, you expect just that at a minimum. Towels were stocked in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable I slept way too much! Parking was at a nightly rate being out in Kapolei it shouldn’t be that high. Waikiki charges about the same so makes no sense. I liked the options of having food vendors on a nightly basis right out front! The location was great being accessible to the freeways! Laundry room was clean and easy to use but $5 per wash and $5 per dry was a bit on the high side even higher than some Waikiki apartment style condos I’ve booked before. The TV is great it’s a nice big size with ability to connect YouTube Netflix and other stream services direct from your phone. The AC seems great but I wish it was able to be lowered more than 68degrees. This is Hawaii! 65 would have been more comfortable. Other than this, my overall stay was satisfactory and I would definitely come back to stay here because the staff were super friendly every staff i encountered and that is the main reason I’d come back to stay there over other locations! The small cats out back are super cute!!!!! Esp the kittens! It adds character to the hotel

My family and I stayed in two rooms for 5 nights at the Residence Inn by Marriott Kapolei for our Thanksgiving Family Vacation. The front desk welcomed us but could not accommodate our request for connecting rooms or close to each other. My studio room was on the first floor, and my daughter and her family's one-bedroom suite were on the fourth floor. Both rooms and bathrooms were clean, had a full kitchen, and spacious. BUT my daughter's room had a plate of breakfast food left in the microwave that the Housekeeper did not throw out so the microwave was not cleaned! They did not call the front office but I would have because that did not meet Marriott's stadards! That was gross! My studio room had no issues. *My studio room Housekeeper, Kiana provided us with great service, and she always went above and beyond my expectations! I asked her about taking the pool towels to the beach. She explained not to take the pool towels because they have trackers on them. Whatever we needed, she delivered to our room immediately. Before our last day, I made sure we saw her before we left for the day and I told her that we didn't need room service because we were checking out in the morning and only needed a couple of bath towels. She delivered them right away. I tipped her and thanked her for her exceptional service. She could not thank me enough! Thank you, Kiana, for taking care of us. Your customer service skills were 110% above my satisfaction! I remain a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member!*

It's Okay.

I was given the ADA room, overall it was okay. The shower area had a bit of grime in the corners and on the fixtures but the room itself was clean. I have stayed at this property in the past, when it was newer and really enjoyed it. This time it seemed a bit more run down. The halls had a weird odor from folks cooking different foods I imagine. The staff is excellent, hands down. There was a ruckus, domestic incident in the floor above in the middle of the night. I called the front desk and they sent security to manage it right away. Bartenders and folks at breakfast are always super nice.

I took my wife to Hawaii for our wedding anniversary and had a great trip but the hotel left a lot of frustration for us. We are just finishing up our stay and I will say I am disappointed with a lot when it comes to this hotel. First off we have been Marriott bonvoy rewards members for years. When we checked in we were told that since we used Travelocity to book we couldn't add our rewards to this stay. Nothing told us while we were booking that we would be denied of this. That led to no perks for the trip. $40 a day parking ate into our funds for the trip. The lady that checked us in said parking could be comped if we had booked with them and added our rewards but can't! Also I asked for late check out because our flight doesn't leave until later in the afternoon and was told that since we used a third party booking they could not. Next disappointment is the housekeeping. We were here for 5 days and they never came to clean our room! We had to go to the desk and ask for towels, this should never happen as a guest. My wife does dialysis and needs a clean room to do that in... Everyday we had to clean our own room before she could do this and yes, we let the front desk and the housekeeper on our floor know about this request. They said they would clean for us but never came! The breakfast staff were the highlight they were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were nice looking and the bed was comfortable. I am very sad that our rewards with Marriott were null and void becau
