As the name suggests, the ambiance and ethos are Tibetan, which is both refreshing and an attraction in itself. Nestled in the shadow of the modern (yet soulless) radisson the Tibet is a charming and visually impressive place. Staff are courteous , kind and helpful and make up for the dated facilities. We travel a lot and like hotels that have character and soul, unlike the bland, efficient, so called modern chains all around. The terrace bar (far from the madding crowds) and the Tibetan set meal are fabulous, as is the Tibetan decor. The rooms need upgrading as does the wi-fi. Hotel is very family friendly and more suitable for leisure travel. We would stay here again.
