Like : it's size n sprawling lawn Dislike : staff arrogance at reception n coffee house. Not all of them but one or two is enough to ruin ones experience. I found d security Guards n bell hops friendliest. Premises were damp,dark n dinghy. I wanted to leave d moment I arrived but stayed nonetheless. I Guess they're use to VIP politician guests only but I will NEVER return! To Nepal yes but NOT to d shangrila

Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Air conditioning in the room didn’t work, but to be fair I had no time to complain about this and still slept fine!

ごみごみとした市中からホテル内に入るとホットする。アメニティはあるが自分専用のアメニティを神経質な方は持参するとよい。部屋のエアコンは壊れていて暖房がきかない。ネパールだから期待はしないこと。部屋の広さは充分すぎるほどよい。

Nice hotel with lovely gardens. Flowers in the room and complimentary basket of fruit. Disappointed that breakfast was not included in the high price for the room though.

Upset customer!!!!
The lousiest Hotel I have ever stayed in Kathmandu. Rooms are rundown. Water leaking and bad smell in bathroom. The power socket have spoilt my phone charger. Zero cleaniness. Rip off for the price. I bought 4 nights stay. I had to check-out of hotel on my 2nd day. My money was wasted for the subsequent nights. I had to book and stay at another hotel. Will never come back again.

Good but not a 5 star hotel
Good old, classic hotel in Kathmandu. However it should no longer be a 5 star hotel - rooms are old, the thermostat cannot be properly regulated, shampoos and gels are refilled in old dirty bottles, the sauna costs 1000 rupees (which should be definitively included), and the food in the restaurant is surprisingly bad. The free airport shuttle is great and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

The carpets on the 3rd floor had a musty smell - needs deep cleaning or new carpets. Very dated and needs upgrading. Garden is well maintained and is their best point

Stay in Shangrila KTM is okay; with the choices (hotel) in the area, I think Shangrila is the better one. Buffet breakfast should have more choices/variety as everyday have almost the same food...

Loud indian wedding all weekend. Dirty pool, definitely not a resort. There was no where to get away from the intrusive event. This place is just an aging 3 star dying a slow death. Don't stay there.

We tryed a 4 star hotel before changing to Shangrila. It was worth it the extra money ($25 per night more)

I was put on level four with 2 single beds, the beds were hard the pillows were hard. The first night was full of noise and people slamming doors and shouting in the corridor until 3.45am. I spoke to the peope at reception tthe day after about it.

The hotel staff was excellent, from the concierge to the front desk to the restaurant staff. The rooms are a little dated but still very comfortable.

Very old hotel
This hotel surely need urgent upgradation. Staffs need to be trained more and should be more active and polite . Honestly, me & my friend stayed for a night here and was not comfortable and I am not satisfied with my stay in this hotel at all.

not worth it, definitely not stay here again. Yak & Yeti is much better then this. even they don't have staff at lobby to take your luggage in room or while check out to your car. AC is very bad.. No cooling at all. Very old hotel.. looking like a government hotel.

Comfortable and good service
The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the staff was polite and friendly. certainly not luxurious lavish like a 5 start should be, (probably a 4 star), but cozy and well maintained with a lovely garden. Amenities were good although we did not stay long enough to use the spa and pool etc. Overall a good experience !
