Perfect cottage stay

Cosy cottage for 2 near town centre

Cosy cottage close to town, well equipped with everything you need provided. Nice welcome touch with wine and chocolates.

Gorgeous little cottage, perfect for two. Situated in a convenient location, close to all Katoomba & the greater area has to offer. Very well equipped kitchen & bathroom. Cozy ducted heating. We loved everything about Gowan Brae and will visit again!

Great place for an escape

Lovely little cottage, beautifully restored and decorated. We found the location had all the conveniences that you could need only a short stroll away, but felt like you were away from all the noise of the town. Great place to stay if you want to explore all the beautiful bushwalks in the area and then come home to a quiet, comfortable hideaway. The owner was very helpful before and during the stay, highly recommended!

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay. It was private with a lovely backyard. The attention to keeping the “vintage” look but having all the modern appliances was the best. Our hostess checked in to make sure all was ok and even supplied robes and slippers! There was nothing missing that we could have needed. This was our 1st time to Australia and we so enjoyed the Blue Mtns…everything was close. Thank you for the wonderful Stay.

Perfect getaway

The cottage is absolutely stunning. The photos are completely true! It's gorgeous. Set in a quiet location, only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Katoomba. We had a beautiful weekend, even though the wind was howling outside, we were cosy and comfortable in our little French-themed oasis. The host has thought of every comfort and the décor is perfect!

Elegant surrounds

Despite the misty rain and weather restrictions to exploring the area, Blue Mountains stay was a wonderful break and made all the more lovely by the beautiful surrounds of this house.

Cosy Cottage

Gowan Brae is a beautifully appointed cottage, close to all the amenities of Katoomba, but in a quiet street leading to the aquatic centre. The central heating is fast and efficient, and the open wood fire a winter bonus! A lovely bottle of champagne on arrival was much appreciated. We enjoyed a most welcome, relaxing, weekend!

So Clean

Great clean cottage, everything you need. Just a couple of things that need looking at. Working lights on the outside path. A mirror that has ample lighting for make up application. Fire wood for the log fire for all year round, it was raining and quiet cold when we stayed, would have loved to put the fire place on. Also the bathroom needs more ventilation.( not a simple fix).

Misty Mountain Magic

We could not have been welcomed more warmly from the beautifully decorated cottage, personal contact call on arrival, to the bubbles and chocolate. However, despite the gorgeous bed linen and pillows, the bed was the beyond firm and we didn’t sleep well for 3 nights. Despite this we adored our stay and loved listening to the rain on the roof. Gowan Brae is a real haven and a wonderful base for exploring the Blue Mountains.

Great Relaxing Cottage

Lovely cottage which is well equipped with everything we needed. The heating was welcomed during our stay as was the Apple TV as it rained heavily! Overall a very relaxing, comfortable stay!

Getaway

The cottage was lovely and just as pictured, however we went through a lot of trouble to get into the property. Very difficult to get in touch with the owner and all the check in information that was sent was for the wrong property and we were left out in the cold waiting for them to call us back.

Beautiful Cottage

Couldnt speak highly enough of this gorgeous little cottage. The rooms were beautifully furnished, the bed very comfortable and high quality details throughout such as bathrobes and soaps etc. We made good use of the open fire with two very cold nights, the central heating providing great warmth during our stay also. The added bonus was 2 mornings of beautiful snow!

This place has been carefully crafted, every detail serves beauty and purpose at the same time. We’ve had a deeply satisfying stay and hope we’ll find another opportunity to do it again one day.
