Gorgeous property with great potential
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Ellie's property! We loved the lake, canoe, dock, fire pit, bbq, and upper decks. The house itself is beautiful and fit the 8 of us comfortably. Our host Ellie was very communicative and helped us sort out some issues with our Internet and answered all questions promptly.
The only issue with our stay was that the house felt worn/poorly maintained and not as clean or stocked as we'd expected. While the house looked clean, upon further inspection we found stained sheets in the children's bunk beds, broken crisper cabinets/bins in the fridge, dirty carpets/rugs, and there was a musty, warm smell in the basement. There was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, towels, or shower supplies provided - this would not have been an issue if it had been communicated to us either in the description or by the host beforehand.
Overall, we had a lovely time but hope the host puts a bit more care and attention into an otherwise beautiful property.
