Beautiful, private location. Fantastic week!!

We had a lovely week at this villa near Lourdas beach. The pros: - beautiful, private and peaceful location - amazing sunsets - excellent communication with manager - easy to find if using Google maps - good facilities i.e A/C, well equipped kitchen - cleaned mid week by friendly staff and pool/ Garden maintained without causing us any inconvenience. - good for families with kids. Lots of space to run around - great location for exploring. 25 mins to airport, 5 mins to beach, 20mins from Lidl The Cons: - the property feels a small bit neglected. I.e broken pool light, broken pool shower, peeling pool liner, peeling paint, broken pool umbrella, odd window didn’t lock properly….all minor things, and easy for management to fix, but did effect the general vibe. - not really a big con……the location is amazing but it’s a Steep walk to the beach. We walked a few times with our kids but a hire car is a must for small children/ anyone with mobility issues. Overall it it was a fantastic week and i can’t fault the manager/staff who were very attentive. I think the location and privacy of this villa was a massive pro for us. Would happily return in future years.

Beautiful location

It is such a gorgeous location and a lovely villa, as described on Vrbo. We had a little detour finding it due to having missed the turning, but once back on track, it was easy to find. You do need a car, ideally. The local restaurants offer wonderful food, and the local markets are within easy reach, as is the lovely beach. I highly recommend this gorgeous villa and location.

Peaceful and lovely

We had a wonderful two weeks here. The house and pool were well maintained, and we loved the location and view. The walk to the beach is steep, so I would recommend a car for anyone with knee or other mobility issues. We will definitely return for another stay.

Family holiday

Very large property with plenty of outside space. Beautiful views down to the sea. Very quiet location ideal for a total relaxing holiday. The property is quite a long way from the beach and taverners/ restaurants. The walk down is ok but walking back is a marathon- I would definitely advise a hire car when staying here. As a family we had a lovely time .

Fabulous Villa in Peaceful Setting

This Villa is a total gem - you will need a car but to wake up to the sound of the waves on the beach and the goat bells while laying in the comfiest beds is worth it - well kitted out kitchen and the living space in doors and outside is fabulous - there were a few snagging issues one was dealt with straight away which was the TV and the rest the team have advised will be resolved eg a few windows not working properly - we come yearly to this area of Kefalonia and this is the best Villa we have stayed in - loved it so much that while we were there we booked it for 2024 - its not over looked has 360 degree views, all 3 bedrooms are large with their own ensuite all of which have baths and overhead shower with balconies and views - the master is especially fab with balconies front and back - added bonus is the washing machine, dishwasher and the great BBQ area - the team managing the villa are at the end of the phone and respond to texts quickly and the maid comes once a week so you are left alone in the peace and quiet of the surroundings

2 months in paradise

We booked the villa before COVID and had to postpone our travel to due restrictions. Elias was very helpful during this time and responded quickly to confirm alternative dates, he also held the rate which was really appreciated. We arrived at the villa and immediately fell in love with the view, it is marvellous easily the best view we have every had in a villa. The villa itself was perfect for us, it was child friendly. The pool was amazing, we spent most of our afternoons relaxing in the pool and keeping cool. The weather was very hot, the AC was a boon. You will need a car here, the walk to the tavernas and beach is downhill. We loved watching the fireworks in villages around us most weekends from the balcony. We enjoyed using the BBQ and sitting under the shade having dinner. We enjoyed our entire time here. We met the owner Elias and Jocelyn and even went to dinner with them one evening. Lourdata is a friendly place and a great base for exploring the beautiful island of Kefalonia

Best sunsets!

We loved this place. It was such a nice reprieve from exploring the island with the lovely views and awesome pool. The host was responsive and top notch. The beds were extremely comfortable and the villa was well equipped. Can’t say enough good things!!! Hope to be back one day :)

Lovely views

Great property. View is second to none. Get a car its hilly! Make sure you take umbrellas down as wind can really pick up overnight. Would love to go back again lovely villa.

Family holiday

The Villa has everything you will need, stunning views and amazing sunsets. The only downside is the very steep hill, no good for elderly or unfit, a car is a must. That said we really enjoyed our time here.

Villa Rhakotis is a well appointed villa kept to a high standard of clendness with spectacular views,the photographs on the web site do not give it justice as it is much larger.Elias and his team offer a first class service as nothing is to much trouble.We had a great time there and would have no hesitation in returning, hiring a car is a must!

Beautiful villa and pool. Stunning views

From being met by Eleni at the airport,taken to the villa we had a lovely time. The villa met all our expectations. Plenty of space for sunbathing or shade. The balconies upstairs were great for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. Friendly people in the village,lovely restaurants. Lisa,s was excellent,just down the bottom of our road. Great bar /cafe opposite. You need to be fit to walk from the villa, takes 15 mins to get to the beach.

Very nice villa, a little isolated a few niggles

The villa is very nice and comfortable. There were a few little niggles, batteries for a couple of the air con units were flat, HDMI lead needed pushing back in but nothing major. More info in the villa about local tavernas etc would have been useful.

This is a fantastic villa with uncompromised views across Lourdas Bay

This was our first experience of a villa holiday and we were not disappointed. The villa itself is spacious, clean and well maintained with ample parking for up to 3 cars. The pool and terraced area is excellent and there is also a large BBQ area to the side of the property. The only downside is that access is via step narrow roads and the sea front is a good 15 minute walk downhill going and at least 20 minutes return on foot. The villa has spectacular panoramic views of Lourdas Bay that makes the hike up the hill well worth the effort. The owner is very helpful and if you have any questions or requests prior to your visit they go out of their way to accommodate you.

Wonderful villa and service

We were met at the airport by costas who was very welcoming, spoke good English and showed us where the villa was. The villa is stunning with breathtaking views. There is so much room inside and out. I don't want to recommend it too highly in case it's always booked when we want to go!! We would love to return. Elias is a great owner with lots of contact and all questions no matter how small were answered promptly. His staff were very good and Elini was on the end of a phone if we needed anything. The pool man came regularly and an added bonus was there were plenty of towels for beach, pool and villa. We had a car which was useful but sometimes walked back to the villa from the beach anyway. Wonderful holiday in a marvellous villa in an excellent location. Thankyou elias
