Thalassa enjoys one of the prime locations in beautiful Assos, elegantly designed and furnished and with spectacular views across Assos bay and the sea. The beach is only a short walk, less than one minute. The main bedroom has a double bed, with matching wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. The main bedroom is on the upper floor with its own bathroom and has large balcony doors overlooking the stunning views of the sea and Assos bT

Great stay in prime location

A great place to stay

This is a lovely, well-maintained property with everything you need for a short stay. Great views from the balconies for when you want to stay in, central location in village for when you fancy a little wander. Three tavernas, a cafe bar and two mini-markets all lie within a couple of minutes of the house. Two small, stony beaches are both a very short stroll from the front door - a lot of Kefalonian beaches are stony so don't let that put you off Assos! The sea, when we stayed, was warm and crystal clear. On the downside none of the dining-out options in the village are much good - it's basic tourist fare. We were disappointed not to be able to get good Greek food without leaving the village. The roads into and around Assos are pretty hairy and not something to be tackled unless stone-cold-sober. We wanted to enjoy wine with our meals which meant we had to make a choice between ho-hum, overpriced food with drink or better food minus the wine. Taxis are an option but we found them exorbitantly expensive. There's a lovely, friendly restaurant a couple of miles outside of town, Vegera. We got a lift there and a taxi back cost us 30 euro, almost as much as the meal! Overall though Assos is lovely and Thalassa is a great place to stay.

Lovely house in perfect location.

We had such a fantastic and relaxing holiday. The house was everything we wanted with fantastic views of beautiful Assos. There are many beautiful beaches nearby and we loved staying in Assos with the castle, friendly tavernas and useful little shops. Thank you!
