"My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. "Our family of 5 arrived at the villa at 630pm tired and hoping for a good night rest. Pressed the bell and knocked on the door before someone came down from the villa. Realised they werent aware there is a booking for the night's stay! We had to wait for a good one hour before that poor caretaker sort out the stay wt the owner for our booking and then cleaned the rooms. No service recovery and no apologies by the owner at all. Utterly disappointed! "

"Room was good, especially the fact it had working a/c and was spacious. Staff were friendly and clean water was available downstairs to fillup when required, with the restaurant, good location within walking distance to kandy city center, and being on the main road so you could hail tuk-tuks if needed, everything you needed was there. Would stay here again if in Kandy, does not have the Radisson level of opulence but for value for money this is the best place i have stayed at, for a Westerner here to experience culture as opposed to live it up this is perfect"
