“Hotel is a great stay and convenient to Derby”

“Over all a great place. Pool table, nice gym, clean room. All showers are walk, so no tubs which is is great for elderly. The mattresses could be better and the pillows were a bit sad, but overall, is stay here again. This is my second stay with Tru and I feel is a good reliable brand with a great hot breakfast.”

“Staff were very friendly, room was clean. Wine, beer and munchies offered from 5:30 to 7pm the 2 nights we were there. Complimentary earplugs were available because the hotel is near the airport. I made use of them and they worked well.”

“The room, public spaces and bar & restaurant were very clean and nicely decorated/ up to date. I was only two doors down from the elevator and maybe fifty feet from the front desk. Hotel was full and I didn’t hear a thing outside my room. Food at Al’s Table was creative and delicious (fried green tomatoes with a ricotta/pistachio whipped dip) and shrimp and grits. Staff- front desk lady who checked me in was very friendly and prompt at getting me set up. Al’s staff- the hostess was so friendly……

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and had a big couch and a desk. But the bed was much too firm and the carpet looked dingy. The lighting was too dim, even in the bathroom sink area. Breakfast was better than some other chain hotels, but we missed it on our last day because they had only told us the hours for the weekend, and breakfast ends earlier on weekdays.”

“Room was extremely loud due to hotel being on edge of highway. Breakfast was only fair. Look at other options if you need a room.”

“Our room was nice. The a/c was loud and had some sand like stuff on top of it. The continental breakfast was a nice surprise. It was also great to have a microwave in our room. The staff were all friendly.”
