The Karsten is not a high end hotel, but if you like the vibe of an antique store, you will love this hotel. Has views of Lake Michigan and is walking distance to variety of eating and entertainment establishments.

Beautiful Quaint Hotel

If you are wanting a Holiday Inn type stay, keep looking but if you want a laid back stay with a gracious host, book this hotel. Alex is a wonderful host!! We had such nice visits with him! The front porch is so peaceful with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan!

The owner is very nice and will go out of his way to make sure you're stay is amazing. The hotel has so much history inside. Loved the decor. I really can't stress how amazing the owner is. He made our stay. He showed us the bar which is amazing with its orginal floor and stained glass.

Full of character! The history and character absolutely cannot be found at other hotels. Great value. Could certainly use some upkeep, but it is clean and comfortable. Nice proximity to the lake for a beautiful walk out to the lighthouse.

This is an OLD hotel. I love old hotels. It has personality, character and it's own identity. It also has wear and tear. If you want boring corporate cookie cutter facilities, stay elsewhere. If you want a true travel experience, stay here.

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. There was an issue with our air conditioning and the staff changed our room right away. The hallways are quiet. Convenient street parking right in front. Don't let the lobby fool you, this is a gem.

Owner greeted us and was very friendly and chatty. The place is unique an amazing, wish we were staying longer to enjoy hanging in the lobby or the 2nd floor sitting area. Only downsides were wimpy shower output and no blinds on windows that faced east. Great AC though! Short walk to a good pub meal and super cold beers!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Karsten Hotel, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Definitely not your average hotel stay! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The check-in process was seamless and quick, making us feel welcome right away. The room was spacious, spotless, and uniquely decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable. What truly sets this hotel apart is the owner. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. His genuine hospitality and dedication to guest satisfaction were evident in every interaction. We highly recommend Karsten Hotel to anyone looking for a home away from home stay. El hotel está abandonado, no hay gente, te piden marcar un número para que te abran el hotel y no funciona, el lugar de noche se ve un poco tenebroso, con calaveras y decoración medio rara. No pudimos ni hospedarnos nos tuvieron que cambiar de hotel. Si pueden evítenlo. Pésima experiencia.

Hey yall if you travel with a ton of luggage be forewarned there is no elevator but if you travel light like me this place is absolutely TOPS. Alex has the greatest customer service and loved our puppy! Gave her cheese and everything 😁 i loved the hob knob decor and vintage chairs also you gotta check out the jaguar under the glass table in the lobby. Literally a 5 minute walk to the beach and pier at lake michigan, 30 minutes from green bay, right round the corner from a cheese shop and 2 seconds away from the bowling alley which is only 3$ per 10 frames. Straight up will be coming back here anytime we come to wisconsin. 10/10
