It was such a beautiful hidden gem. We loved it. We fished off the dock and caught lots with shrimp. The restaurant across the street, Ballyhoos, was absolutely amazing and in walking distance if you didn't want to have to drive far. The rooms were clean. They texted us to make sure we had all we needed. They responded instantly when I asked if they had a steamer for my clothes (there was an iron in the room). It was waiting in the room for us when we got back. Hospitality, cleanliness, property, all amazing.

We stayed at Kona Kai upon arrival in the Keys and as a mid stop on the way from Key West to Miami. It is a respite from the busyness elsewhere. The beach is peaceful, sunsets splendid and a little oasis. Katherine and her team make sure the property is well maintained and her food recs are perfect. We will compare all of our other stays to the one here. The rooms feel like mini apartments with lots of privacy. Will absolutely return.

It’s a 10 .. it’s the cutest little place. The staff is super sweet, nice grounds and relaxing. The room was called sugar apple I believe and it was large and roomie with a private patio area.. We really enjoyed it.. keep up the good work..
