Truman Annex Review

We had a great stay at this property. The listing was very accurate and the space was beautiful. And the location was perfect. We highly recommend the specific condo. The only issue we had was that they were painting the exterior, including the decks outside the bedroom, wanting to start quite early, and had not alerted The realty company about their schedule so we could prepare.

You cannot beat the location. You are close enough to walk to everything you want to see and do but secluded enough that the evenings are quiet. The place is clean, nice, and well stocked. You will have everything you need.

Awesome place to stay.

The property was great. We love the area it is close to Duval street and all that entails. It was quite except for the roosters at 4:00am in the morning, we did get use to them by the end of our stay and there is no where on the island where there are no roosters.We did have a wonderful time and our place was perfect for our needs. It was beautiful.

Beautiful property, great location but lacks basic amenities

The property was gorgeous! I could absolutely see myself living there. It was well furnished, the bed and couch were extremely comfortable. It was a quick walk into downtown which was very convenient. There was a lot of room for entertaining too. We rented a few units nearby but always ended up at mine do the comfort and space. The only drawbacks were it was missing basic amenities. There was no dish soap or dishwasher detergent. There were only 1.5 rolls of TP. There was a small bar of soap in the bathroom that only lasted a few days and limited handsoap in the kitchen. Also, if you're a light sleeper like me bring earplugs. The roosters are very noisy! Overall I really enjoyed my stay, I just wish I hadn't had to buy toilet paper, etc.

I have stayed in several Truman Annex properties over the years. This one bedroom beauty was one of the best. The proximity, the balcony, cleanliness, updated, and perfect amenities. I will use this particular property in the future. Ease of check in, responsive, follow up, great management team. Really a 5 star property.

2/15-2/22

Property was centrally located - which was great for walking to most places. We rarely used the rental car. We had difficulty following the directions in the hospitality site - the water fountain mentioned as a landmark was obscured by trees and was not functioning. Nothing of the landmark could be viewed from the street. The house number was also not included in any of the rental documents- only the house name so the guard shack was no help. After finally finding our condo all was good until the invasion of ants. Rental office was not responsive so we had to go purchase ant spray. Finally an exterminator cane to solve the problem. Weather was great ! I would return again.

Great place to stay

Our unit was very nice. We loved the large porches on both the front and back (great for getting out of the sun!) and the location was extremely convenient. Being close to the front gate made for easy in, easy out and there wasn't much traffic at all. It was quiet, nicely decorated and everything worked well. The only challenge for me was that the mattress was quite soft. If you like a soft bed you will be in heaven, but if you need a firm mattress this might not be the ideal place for you.
