Loved the location and proximity to the beach area! The restaurant on the beach was convenient and multiple pools and bars areas to relax. Steps away from Duval at the Southernmost point end of the main drag. We had a single queen room which was VERY tiny, basically a bed and bathroom. We struggled for space for our suitcases and having nowhere to sit but the bed. I would recommend a double queen just for the additional square footage and a place to set your things. The window air conditioner was very temperamental and had a mind of its own in terms of temperature and when it wanted to run. The setting markings were worn off and the front face was taped on. In addition, it was level with the bed so it was blowing the air straight on you from about 1 foot away. Overall, the hotel was an 8, but the room was a 5.

The property was pretty well maintained. The staff were friendly enough. The A/C in our room made a clicking sound every time it kicked on so that wasnt great. If you’re looking to stay on that end of Duval, it was good.

The hotel has a wonderful location on the beach but is some distance from the bar and restaurant area. It is very expensive for the standard of the hotel at at $60 the resort fee is exorbitant as nothing is provided for it.

DEFINITELY do NOT get a room on the inside street from the water. The hotel has numerous buildings so be careful what you book (or where they place you). Our room was like a 1970s motel…. except it was VERY OVERPRICED. We could hardly get around the bed. Fortunately we we able to locate a more acceptable room, although still “on the wrong side of the street”. Housekeeping was very nice. A few small pools, no hot tub, and could not find a seat at the main pool (across the street).

We received a handicap room (not needed) and that was fine. However, there was a bathtub and not a walk-in shower or a way to get a hdcp person into the shower. Easy access to the small beach. Plenty of beach chairs available. Free breakfast was convenient, included omelet station, potatoes, bagels, breakfast pesto pizza, pastries, parfait, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. Lots of activities by the pools. Convenient location. Many room choices, our room was very small. Would upgrade to a bigger room with larger bathroom. Not enough room in bathroom to get ready. Overall nice stay.

We originally booked a king room in Avalon. This is a very small room if you like us were travelling with 2 large suitcases. The room was clean just small. We asked if we could upgrade and having spent one night in this room we moved to a king room on the sunset rooms on the beach. This room was so much better for us. It was much bigger and made our remaining stay so much better. Breakfast was included for us and this was good. The pools and the bars were very good too. The location of the hotel is perfect for Duval Street. The hotel is on a huge location so getting to areas like the fitness centre takes a while to get your bearings. Overall we were delighted with this hotel and would recommend the sunset beach rooms.

The cafe on the beach has an amazing view and great food! Clean rooms and clean property. Easy access to Duval street and conveniently located next to the popular southernmost marker.

Rooms are very small, almost no place to put things, one door to the closet was missing, and the AC faceplate was held on with tape. However, the location and staff cannot be beat. If you are looking for a quieter part of town but still an easy walk to the nightlife this is your place to stay. The Butterfly Conservancy and Southernmost point are right across the street. Their restaurant was great as well.

Cozy and chic upscale room… stayed in a king with balcony. Beautiful pools, helpful staff great location on the quiet end of Duval, but walkable to all the activity. Beautiful property with hammocks and tanning pier. Didn’t hear a peep from my neighbors. The café had great food and the Tortuga building was very convenient for Uber pick up right in front of our room and super close walk to the pool and beach had a fabulous stay highly recommend can’t wait to come back
