「The villa is beautiful and perfectly planned. The surroundings and views are spectacular. In mid october the pool was very cool (cooler than the Euboian gulf). Heating would have been very nice. The kitchen was well suited for cooking, but we missed a few utensils, for instance a pasta spoon. Also we had to buy toiletpaper, detergent and barbeque charcoal, which was difficult to find. The host had put a pet bottle of white wine on the table when we checked in. That was nice, but basic things...

「Villa Kalamos was built as a labor of love, and it shows. John designed the property to be reminiscent of an historical Byzantine monument, including a magnificent stone tower, with superb attention to detail, especially in the dramatic lower level kitchen and dining area, where the vaulted ceiling soars to a great height.
