The hotel is not far from the bus depot and is a good place to stay overnight. It is not in a convenient location and some taxis have difficulty finding it. It is not a luxury hotel but certainly adequate for a comfortable stay.

Nice hotel close to the bus station

The hotel is clean and sanitary. The staff are very good and speak English. The room I stayed in was small but comfortable for the most part. However, it was a cold day and the room temperature was not warm enough and the bedding was not warm enough. I awoke in the middle of the night because I was cold and had to fold over the bed covers so that I would be warm enough to sleep.

Ich war da,weil ich meine Freundin besuchen wollte aber auf grundessen das sie in der ATO-Zone lebt (Donetsk Region) und du als Ausländer ohne spezielle Papiere nicht da einreisen kannst trafen wir uns in Charkiv,eine wirklich schöne Stadt,aber teilweise katastroffalen Strasser Verhältnissen,aber vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten,gute und einfache Fortbewegungungsmittel,gutes preisleistungsverhältniss,nette Loakation und Leute,aber sprachliche Differenzen da die meisten Leute kein Englisch verstehen,aber alles in allem hat es mir sehr gut gefallen

The hotel itself in terms of location, staff was all right. However comfort was an issue: while outside temperature remained close +10 so it was not drastically different in my room. I spoke with staff trying to persuade them to do something to rectify this absurd situation however they remained irresponsible and the best they could do was to provide me an additional heater for extra fee. The second issue was hot water provision: it was not available for 24 hours. And the last but not least - breakfast: it was done in the best tradition of soviet era in terms of quality, variety and the way to serve it.

Terrible customer service

I was disgusted to arrive at a hotel in the evening with ten minutes to spare before an important meeting and discover there was no room for me in the hotel! But my disgust with the hotel is nothing compared with HOTELS.COM who despite assuring me they would respond in 24 hours still have not done so. As a direct result ALL my bookings on this trip are with a competitor.

Best staff in Kharkiv

I truly enjoyed my stay, the staff is EXCELLENT made a lot of good friends. It's not the Ritz but rooms are larger that most in Kharkiv. It is very clean and well kept. the staff is the best. I was there 13 days. When I left I knew most of the staff by name. Restaurant was very good, try their pizza, great. Location is ok, close to subway and buses, along with shopping. And you can't beat the price.

Clean and efficient, but dull

I stayed here mid-week in July and found the place adequate. There were no problems, the room and facilities are new, and I think I got a good deal for what I paid. Breakfast was included and I took advantage of that one morning. My chief disappointment was that there just seemed to be very few people around. I was hoping to experience a bit more of an "atmosphere" and maybe talk to people (or just watch people)-- but the hotel was super quiet and no one seemed to be staying there. I hope they have more guests in the future because it is not a bad place at all. Maybe it was just a quiet week in Kharkiv.

Great hotel for football

AN-2 is an interesting hotel. It costs less then many other hotels in this area of Kharkiv yet delivers on what is important. The room was simple yet comfortable. Floors were linoleum versus carpet, but the bed was quite good, and the bathroom was not overly cramped. There were earplugs in the room but even though I could barely hear one neighbor, no noises disturbed me during the night. Their restaurant is on the top floor versus the ground as in many Ukrainian hotels. Food was excellent. Upon check in I got a free breakfast card, and a discount card for dinner and lunch. First floor has a billiards room with both pool and billiard tables along with a small bar. Staff spoke English and were excellent with taxi service and porter service. Location is across river from most museums, but five minute walk to stadium and metro.

AN2 is a famous aircraft from the Soviet era and the hotel's theme around it is quite nice. The room was cold the first night and there was a lot of noise at 4.00am. The rest of the stay was fine however and overall this was great value for money. Staff were very frendly.
