  • This tastefully decorated 6 bedroom/5.5 bathroom luxury home offers beautiful views of the ocean. Lounge in one of the three seaside swings on decks while enjoying the salt air and everything that the Outer Banks has to offer. This home offers more than ample deck space with a perfect mix of sun and shade as well as great deck furniture. You and your guest can enjoy an incredible seafood feast (with no bugs invited) on the screened in porch (that is great for crab picking) while watching the waves roll in. The Get Away offers up a wonderful place to watch the ocean sunrise, for those early risers, while sipping on a cup of coffee in the ocean breeze!

    The hot tub by the pool is the perfect way to unwind during the spring and fall months. For the sports enthusiast, there is a volleyball net and a badminton set! The poolside cabana and large pool patio make relaxing easy! The cabana is steps away from an ice maker that makes 150 pounds of ice each day. Inside of the cabana you will find coolers that keep ice for long periods of time so there is no need to take a break to go to the store. Speaking of ice, this home has a smoothie and daiquiri machine that will make lounging by the pool that more luxurious!

    The spacious floor plan is suitable for all beach goers. The Get Away features 2 master suites and plenty of sleeping space. This entire home was professionally decorated. The gourmet eat-in kitchen serves up plenty of appliances (there are two ice makers in the home and a beverage fridge for 177 cans) that are situated perfect for entertaining. There is a lovely separate dining room. Kids will love to gather in the lower level Rec Room with Pool Table, Foosball Table and Full Size Refrigerator. This area features a Smart TV and seating for the afternoon rainstorm that sneaks up. There is even an elevator, making it more convenient for guests to get from floor to floor. 9 Flat Screen Smart TV's throughout the home. Hulu Live with entertainment package, Pure Flix and Netflix provided.

    The owner provides chairs, boogie boards & small cooler for guest use.

This place has everything you need

Kitchen is loaded with utensils/pots/pans. Beach closet is loaded with stuff for the beach. Elevator comes in handy for moving in/moving out as well.

Had a nice week . Some cleaning issues .. pet hair on the ledge under the coffee table , Gas grill was too dirty to use . Other than that A pleasant week.

The bedrooms are so comfortable and the house is really well appointed. The kitchen was not always intuitively organized and there is a lot of junk in drawers but we always managed to find what we were looking for. The decor is beachy and happy and easily accommodating for a large group- lots of dining chairs and places to sit to watch TV. And allowing our dogs was such a blessing! I do think that the floors and furniture do need a deep clean (we were at the end of the season so I get it! It can’t be done every time!) because our dogs were very obsessed with spots on the carpet and furniture.We had a problem with the elevator (that we may have caused!) and the owner came quickly and rectified. So friendly! If we get our act together we will re-book for next year! Hopefully during a week where we can enjoy the outdoors!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets/pillows. The location was excellent for checking out the local sights, getting to the beach, and going out to restaurants. We loved having the ice cream shop next door. The elevator was key, the living space is on the third floor, it was awesome having a way to get groceries upstairs. We also had grandparents with us, and they utilized the elevator frequently as the stairs were too much for them. We brought our two dogs; it’s great being able to stay in a nice home that allows dogs. Many times, rentals for dogs are not nice. This place is so lovely. You can tell they really care about the home. The only suggestion I have is to add blackout curtains to the two roadside rooms which are across the street from Ramada. I slept in one of the front rooms with my husband. I had a sleeping mask, so I didn’t have any issues sleeping but my husband had some troubles. We would rent again!

I was disappointed when I learned that we didn't have a view of the water except for a tiny slice between two hotels. It was an easy walk to the beach though. We had no hot water when we arrived, but Marcus came and found a blown breaker and it was fixed that day. After we had made the reservation, I read some of the paperwork very closely and realized that we qualified for the senior citizen discount. I sent an email asking for it to be applied but never received a reply. I called about it right before we checked in. I was told that we didn't get the discount because we didn't indicate it when I made the reservation. I was very disappointed that the rental company wouldn't even consider giving us this small refund. It's in the small print, so if you are seniors, ask for it right away!

It was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed.. kitchen was fully stocked, bikes, beach equipment including carts that actually rolled in the sand and beach chairs that worked. The owner even stopped by. He was very friendly and kind. Our teens loved the location of this home, it was so convenient for them to walk to lots of places. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The elevator also was wonderful too. I would recommend the Get Away with Beach Realty, and I would stay here again!

Loved the location!!! Very close and easy to get to beach. Close to great restaurants and grocery stores. Only issue was air temp at night. AC temps were good during day but at night everyone woke sweating and hot and uncomfortable. Was on a setting we couldnt figure out or controlled from an app. Overall house was amazing though. And we want to thank the owners and property management for such a beautiful home.

There was a pack and play and high chair that I wish we would have known about because we would not have had to bring them. We loved the layout and the pool. The pool was our favorite place to hangout! The trek to the beach was a little more than we thought but that was our fault for not looking at the map better. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get onto the beach from the path. We had to contact the office because a comforter had a large urine stain on it and they were quick to respond. They offered to bring a new one but we washed it. We would definitely stay at this house again, it truly checks all the boxes except for easy beach access.

The room stayed rather humid and warm the whole week. I agree with others that black out curtains are needed for the two front room. We really did enjoy our stay, but those were some of the issues we had. Thanks for letting us borrow your home for a week.

Memorable Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property description was accurate and then some. The property is so well stocked from appliances to games and books. There was not one thing that I could say that I was missing. You can tell that the owner cares about this property. And, it is in such a great location, that we hardly drove anywhere at all. It was October, and it was warm but still too cool to swim in the ocean, but the swimming pool was heated to a great temperature. The owner didn't skimp on the heat. It is right on Virginia Dare Trail which I thought might be concerning as to noise and getting in and out, but for the most part, that was not an issue. We could see the ocean waves in between the hotels (some reviews said that they could not see the ocean at all...yes, it is not oceanfront, but they don't advertise it as such. But, for the price and amenities, don't overlook this home.) It does have an elevator, but it is not ground level and there are about 5 steps to climb to reach it. I just wanted to mention that while there is an elevator, this house is not handicap accessible or really handicap friendly (but, again, they don't advertise that they are). This was our first time also dealing with Beach Realty, as well, and they were great to work with. They were in contact via e-mail and text messaging, and the property was ready when they said that it would be. I highly recommend The Get Away along with Beach Realty of NC. Great memories are made in this house.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such an amazing week at The Get Away! The house has everything you need! Between the convenience of the elevator, the industrial ice maker, the many beach chairs/beach carts, the volleyball court, tiki bar, million kitchen gadgets and appliances... we truly felt so spoiled! We spent almost every night by the pool or playing sand volleyball with the whole family. You can truly feel the love and care the owners put into this home. It’s beautifully decorated and so equipped. We loved sharing meals around the gorgeous (and huge!) kitchen table. Our children also loved the fact that the ice cream shop was literally steps away. We already booked again for next year and can’t wait to make many more memories there :)
