Would not recommend
Hotel located about a 20 minute walk from Killarney town centre. Rooms are nice but very warm with no way to cool them down except open a restricted window. Wi-Fi in the hotel is poor and has connection issues and the “smart” tvs have no option to connect an internet source which means the smart aspect of the tv is pointless and you are left to the 15 or so saorview channels. We asked the duty manager to help us sort out this problem and he didn’t know how to explain the fact the smart tv had no available network settings and setting up a connection was impossible despite mentioning he faced this issue with several other guests during their respective stays. I would avoid this hotel if I returned to Killarney as overall the experience was not a pleasant one.

The Heights Hotel was a very comfortable stay. Staff was very kind, room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great! We did a one night stay before we got on the Ring of Kerry. Great location if you have a car - but if you don't you've got a 20-30 minute walk to the restaurants in Killarney.

Lovely Hotel, staff were very friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Food in the restaurant was first class and the was plenty of parking even for coaches.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums an einer Ausfallstraße. Das Hotel wurde wohl renoviert. Dabei wurde nicht unbedingt auf die Praxistauglichkeit Rücksicht genommen. So gibt es beim Handwaschbecken nur heißes und kaltes Wasser. Bei der Benutzung des Toilette stößt man sich an der Schulter... Es gibt genügend Parkplätze und das Essen entspricht dem in den anderen Sternehotels (full irish breakfast). Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war nicht unbedingt prickelnd und wurde durch die Klimaanlagen akustisch nicht unbedingt verbessert. Das Zimmer hat sogar einen Kühlschrank. Die Handtücher werden wie in den meisten anderen Hotels trotz andersweitiger Ankündigung täglich gewechselt.

Beautiful and comfortable stay
This hotel came highly recommended by friends that have stayed here numerous times. The hotel had two tour buses staying there but it didn't seem crowded or busy. The check in staff seemed stressed out when trying to fit in our breakfast time between the two tours. The two employees got into a verbal confrontation in front of us which made it a little uncomfortable.a manager came to the rescue and handled our breakfast reservation.

Nicely located
Very friendly staff and no-frills hotel room. There are a few steps to the reception area which for heavy luggage can be a bit of a pain. Our room was nice and worth the price we paid.

Perfect hotel, with even better staff!
LOVED this place. Perfect location. We used it as a "home base" for visiting the Dingle Peninsula, driving the Ring of Kerry, exploring the Killarney National Park, Muckross House, Muckross Abbey, and so much more. Location! The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed and even a high pressure shower! But the best part about the Killarney Heights Hotel is the staff. I WISH I could remember names, but the late day crew at the front desk were spectacular. Friendly, helpful, genuinely warm and caring. I always include "downsides," areas that could be improved, in all of my reviews... but I can't find one for this place!!!

Sehr schönes Hotel mit superfreundlichen Mitarbeitern - wir sind als Gruppe Abends angereist und es gab eine Verwechslung mit den Zimmern und Belegung - die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption war sehr geduldig mit den Änderungen und hat auch gleich von sich aus die Preise der Zimmer entsprechend angepasst. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Ambiente der Speiseräume und der Bar ist sehr schön, stimmig und so wie man sich ein irisches Landhotel vorstellt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber, insgesamt ist die ganze Anlage sauber und gut gepflegt. Einziges kleines Minus: unser Zimmer ging zur Lüftung/Wärmepumpe hinaus - weder der Ausblick noch die Geräuschkulisse waren also toll. Da wir aber tagsüber ohnehin unterwegs waren und die Lüftung nachts ausgeschaltet war, sodass wir das Fenster öffnen konnten, war das für uns kein großes Problem.
