Great stay!

Really enjoyed our short 2 days in Sigiriya - absolutely lovely hotel and amazing grounds. We really enjoyed the breakfast, all the staff were very nice and helpful. The spa was amazing as well - lovely massages and products on offer. Villa was stunning and very serene, the pool was amazing. The grounds have lots of wildlife and nature that’s very cool to see! The only thing we found a bit funny and awkward was that we weren’t able to invite our friend who was showing us round Sri Lanka to the villa to discuss our day plans. We were told this was against policy but I had a look online and it’s not in the terms and conditions on the website that guests aren’t allowed, nor was this highlighted when we booked so just felt a bit unnecessary.

Can’t fault this place!

Last night in Sri Lanka and what a place to stay at! Beautiful location with views of Sigiriya Rock from the pool and restaurant area. The villas are very modern, clean and have a bed you could get lost in. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Can’t fault it!

So much space and beautifully designed villas. The peace and tranquillity is fabulous. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the chef produces amazing Sri Lankan curries and dishes, including some of the best hoppers I’ve ever tasted!

Stunning hotel very near Sigiriya - don't miss it!

Truly unique setting with spectacular view onto Sigiriya Rock. Beautiful new hotel about a year old, with really tasteful landscaping and design. Gorgeous, enormous villa style rooms built around a lake. Tasty food and excellent service. Not to be missed. Sadly we only spent one night here but definitely worth staying a little longer to make full use of all the facilities.

Tout a été à la hauteur de nos espérances et du niveau attendu pour un établissement de ce prix. Seul bémol: l'hôtel est difficile à trouver et les gens ne connaissent pas car l'hôtel est récent => il vaut donc mieux programmer d'y arriver quand il fait encore jour !

空港からは車で4時間くらい。場所がわかりにくく、タクシー運転手も迷い、時間がかかった。 従業員の対応が、高級ホテルと比べるとかなりおとる。 部屋は、空調が壊れていて調整できなかった。絨毯に大きなシミがあった。 毎日の部屋の掃除に、キツめの科学薬品を使っているよう。匂いがすごく、空気の入れ替えをかなり行った。 期待が高かっただけに残念。

Best hotel for relaxation

This place has calm landscape as if you came to your hometown, and it is the best hotel to spend time with family at leisure.Because it is making a villa that melts naturally, insects come into the room in some cases. There is a mosquito net so I can sleep comfortably.

One Night Not Enough

Amazing new hotel, attentive and efficient staff, huge and comfortable villas, v good food, and all with a stunning view of the rock. I try and constructively criticise, but there is nothing about Water Gardens that I can be negative about.

Best hotel in Sigiriya hands down

Fantastic service, very nice genuine staff. Beautiful deluxe suites with the private plunge pool set in the heart of nature. The excursions are overpriced but the Balinese massage definitely worth the money. Really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Lovely Stay

We stayed overnight at the Water Garden Sigiriya and we were glad that we made the right choice. The villas were in excellent condition and they were very clean. We love the view from the resort and had a lovely stroll and biking in the compound. The kids loved the pool too! It was such a fantastic experience that the kids were proposing to revisit Water Garden again for a longer stay.

unique stay

Interesting villa style hotel with majestic peacocks walking the property. Amazing and spotless room with top notch decor, attention to detail, and its own plunge pool. not far from Sigiriya Rock... and had a nice view from my patio. The food was better than i expected and the service was fantastic. My only negatives would be: the hotel is located in the wild, with minimal landscaping, so there is some insect life, which some people may be sensitive to, and that there is not much else in the area, so you are pretty much stuck at the hotel unless you do safari or sightseeing excursions.

A pleasant surprise

Water Garden exceeded way beyond our expectations.It is a nature friendly resort with an amazing view of the Sigiraya. Rooms, restaurant and facilities were all above the standards. My special thanks goes to their amazing staff. We were staying there for a night to celebrate my mother's birthday and they did everything possible to make our short stay an unforgettable one. They prepared a custom birthday message for my mum with flowers and leaves which was followed by a very nice cake served with our dinner. Treat your loved ones to a holiday here if you want to make them feel special.
