During the moon's quarter phases the sun and moon work at right angles. The result is a smaller difference between high and low tides and is known as a neap tide. The neap tide comes in the first and third quarters of the moon.

Enjoy wonderful oceanfront views from Neaptide, a cozy Kitty Hawk cottage directly on the beach at Mile Post 3. This single bedroom, single bathroom getaway is perfect for a couple who wants to let the sound of the ocean waves rock them to sleep each night or the person who simply needs a private retreat from the rest of the world, perfect for working remotely.

Watch the sunrise over the water from the spacious Covered Deck with built-in seating and a cozy picnic table for al fresco dining and breakfasts with the sound of the sea washing over you. Enjoy the beach right outside your back door at any time of day or night while still being close enough to the best of what Kitty Hawk has to offer so you can take a stroll to grab dinner at a restaurant nearby or cook some delicious fresh, local seafood to enjoy at home.

Recent renovations includes panoramic windows with screens, an updated bathroom, and local decorations to make it truly an experience you will never forget. Relax in the lush Living Area with Bahama Bed couches and whip up a snack in the nearby Kitchen and Dining Area with stove and full-sized refrigerator. Get some rest in the Bedroom with a Double Bed before heading outside and enjoy your dream of a beach cottage.
