"It’s a 15 minute walk from the station and there is not much nearby but perfect for visiting the castle. Staff are friendly and the hotel offers a free meal of meat and rice each evening from 6.30pm. There is an onsite bathhouse. Room was a bit small but standard for Japan."

"The Dormy Inn is a convenient and clean hotel. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. They offered a welcome drink of Nagano Apple Juice and they provide a complementary ramen for those working late. The top floor baths were well maintained and clean. The bath provided many amenities including razors and a yogurt drink. The rooms are on the small size and I came with a family so I booked 2 rooms. It was nice that the staff placed the rooms next door to each other. The breakfast was comprehensive and there was plenty of room for us. The only issue I had, and it bothered everyone in my party, were the pillows. The pillows are so hard that my wife got a headache and I’m still feeling a pain in my neck 3 days later."

"Great place for the price. Group onsen and evening lounge included free. Sauna too. The only thing was that the room same was advertised as non smoking but smelled of cigarettes. Hotel staff switched our room but the new room... While a little better... Unfortunately also smelled of cigarettes. Other thank this it was a great stay. Quiet. And a great community atmosphere in the free evening lounge."

"A pleasant stay in a convenient location. Though the check in time was late afternoon we arrived earlier, and we were able to store our luggage till check in. The staff were helpful and the property was in a great location, with a decent sized comfortable room and bathroom."
