Log-built cabin (Honkakämppä) on the top of Palovaara hill can be used as a base for nature excursions, distance 3 km. In winter, there is a ski trail from the cabin to the Honkakämppä.

The advantage of this angling permit is that the adult’s permit allows the whole family to fish, and it allows trolling with max. eight rods too. The permit allows you to fish on the state-owned waters containing rapids and streams that are not included in the fisheries management fee (www.eraluvat.fi).
Fishing in lake Vuosanganjärvi is allowed with one rod and lure with fisheries management fee.
Hunting: Small game hunting area on state owned lands 5617 Länsi-Kuhmo begins near the cabin (www.eraluvat.fi).
