We enjoyed our stay at the Surfers Cove. It was an older condo that has been updated. It was just right for me and my husband and was what we needed for a weekend get away. Access to the beach was right outside the door which was a huge bonus.

Surfers Cove-Kure Beach

Location was amazing. Only a short walk to beach. Few suggestions-dining table to have a meal, baking dishes in kitchen would be a plus. Taller chairs on the deck to be able to see over railings recommended.

Great location.

Enjoyed being so close to the water. Perfect size for the two of us. Would be nice to have a small dining table with chairs as the bar stools weren’t great to sit in. Very clean, with exception of the floor, which was quite dirty as evidenced by the black on the bottoms of our feet/socks after a short time walking in the condo. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The Riggings

Location is great…the unit could use some repairs and updates. The tv remote in the bedroom was broken and did not work. Lost power at the unit for a while during our stay. This would be a really nice place with a little upgrading.

Relaxing at the ocean just me and the Hubby!

Enjoyed our relaxing ocean front stay! Spent so much time just relaxing on the balcony watching the waves crash onto the beach. The beach access was right around from our back door. The pool was a short walk also and everyone was so nice. It spoiled us. We will never want to go anywhere else. We loved our time spent there and will plan to go back soon.

Awesome!

We love staying at The Riggings! This place was very nice. We could have really used a vacuum to clean up all the sand. Sweeping just doesn't get it. We loved staying so close to the entrance to the beach. I highly recommend if you are an avid shell hunter/gatherer.

We had issues eating meals with no table inside or outside on porch this was a hassle. The kitchen was also not very equipped. Furniture was comfortable and loved the swing chair on porch!!!

Literally steps away from the beach. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs out on the back deck while sipping coffee and listening to the waves. Our only issue was another car parked in our condo’s spot most of our time there so we parked in the extra lot across the street. Everything else was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend anyone looking for a cozy place for a vacation to consider staying here!

A perfect getaway

This condo is in the Riggings, which is built as close to the ocean as a place can get. That means at high tide the water may wash onto the balcony, and you can't see the shore. That unnerves some people, but it's why I love to stay here! It's like being on a house boat without motion sickness. Walks on the beach are possible everyday at low tide. The condo was clean, matched the pictures, everything worked, and the kitchen was stocked. (A toaster would be a nice addition.) The swing on the balcony was our favorite part! I would suggest taking out the second smaller couch and putting in a breakfast table. The absence of a table is the only drawback to this condo. We would definitely stay here again.

It said there are dishes, there were only 4 small bowls. There was no toaster as described. As far as the grill, it was a community charcoal grill. We brought meat with us to grill and was never able to use the grill because there was only one and was always in use. The description also said there were no dogs allowed, we saw 3 different families bring dogs into their units.

Worse vacation experience

First of all as soon I open the unit door smell like raw egg , then as I was checking bedroom and bathroom, I found hairs on the white mattress duvet or sheets immediately disgusting by that the bathtub wasn’t even clean a whole bunch of hairs there too , luckily I found some cleaning supplies to clean it myself !!! the front porch nice and everything but you can’t enjoy because the wind always blowing sand on your face and food .then on Sunday i saw a cockroach crawling on the ceiling of my bedroom . To top off some evil call towing truck on my moms car because she park in the wrong spot even though it was plenty parking everywhere else .SO MAKE SURE YOU PARK ON THE RIGTH SPOT IF YOU DONT WANT SOMEONE RUIN YOUR VACATION EVEN MORE !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To be honest, we weren't initially impressed. We had stayed previously at Ocean Dunes which is newer and more outwardly attractive. This complex is older and a bit worn. The entrance storm door was ill-fitting and rusty, with no lock. The balcony had no furniture besides a swinging chair. Balcony doors needed bars to lock them and had no screens. Dining area was a counter with high-top chairs, no table or regular chairs. And both televisions came without instructions so we did not know how to operate them to get regualr channels. And the exterminator was scheduled while we were there which we were not happy about. BUT... the Bryant staff was excellent and attentive to our concerns. They arranged to have chairs delivered to the balcony. Jason came to teach us how to use the tv's. Every phone call was received with politeness and attention. In the end, we were happy with our unit. You certainly can't beat the view, and we loved that this is the last complex on the island with only the fort grounds and then the ferry terminal to the south. I will warn that the cell service is very spotty here. This is not the owner's fault but you can't always count on service. The Internet, however, was excellent, strong and consistent signal. Plenty of kitchen supplies (but don't forget to bring laundry detergent). And once we learned to use the tv's, there were plenty of choices of things to watch. Unit was clean and ready when we arrived.
