"Impeccable service! So we did not indicate that we have two children joining us as we always do when we book our accommodation. The owner couple accommodated us in all ways, providing the children with meals and even remaking the bed such that it fit the four of us.
What stood out the most is that we have forgotten our travel adapter. When we did not respond to their email as we were out at the safari, the owner even drove out to the theme park to pass it to us. It was over 20 min drive out in...

"We had an excellent stay at Kirishima Kokusai Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Kirishima area. We stayed in a Premier Deluxe Japanese-Western Style Room (Yukemuri View), which was exceptional and very spacious, with a beautiful outdoor lanai and a fantastic view out toward Sakurajima Island. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.
The public baths were a highlight of our stay. There were both indoor and outdoor options, along with a sauna, and even a unique section where you could apply a coating of mineral-rich mud to your skin. We also tried the massage services, which were incredibly relaxing and a great addition to the overall onsen experience.
The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park. We were able to get to Onami Pond early in the morning before it became crowded with hikers and tourists, which made the experience even more special.
The buffet breakfasts and dinners were delicious and offered a great variety of local cuisine, including Kagoshima pork and Miyazaki beef. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and we looked forward to each meal.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay, and the free on-site self parking was a very convenient bonus.
Overall, this hotel offers a perfect combination of comfort, location, and authentic local experiences. We would definitely stay here again."
"We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation. The bed was incredibly comfortable, honestly one of the best we’ve ever slept on! We loved it so much that we’re even considering buying the same mattress when we get home. Having a washing machine in the room was also a huge bonus, especially during our long holiday in Japan. It made it so easy to keep our clothes fresh without any hassle.
The room itself was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which made our stay even more relaxing. We also felt very safe throughout our time there, which is always important when traveling. Another plus was the convenient parking. There are spots available just a short 2-minute walk from the hotel."
"I had a great stay at The Blossom Kumamoto Hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout my visit. The location, which is right next to the train station, is incredibly convenient making it easy to get around and explore the area.
The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, and I also appreciated the option for self-parking at a reasonable fee, which made things even more convenient.
The only minor downside was an issue I experienced with public bath hygiene due to another guest’s behavior. To be fair, this was not the hotel’s fault, and the staff handled my concern appropriately when I reported it.
Overall, a fantastic stay with excellent service and amenities. I would happily stay here again."
"Amanek INN is located next to the more upscale Amanek Yula-Re. Yula-Re is where the pool and onsen are located (shared with Amanek Inn.)
Overall the facilities are nice and clean. Only downside was having to walk between buildings to access the onsen."
"A super busy hotel with many tourists. Many with families. These families can be quite loud. Some groups have no manners. The staff does a great job, dispite having to work with rude tourists. The room was nice old school Japanese. Everything is pretty low in the room. Beds are firm, yet comfortable. The onsen area on the 13th floor is next level! Huge sauna, many baths and free treats when you are done. Steps from the JR station. I highly recommend this hotel. Just be prepared for it to be somewhat crowded. Also, no shoes allowed in entire hotel. You put them in lockers when you enter. I would definitely stay here again. "
"Breakfast - a choice of western buffet (with some local offerings) or a set meal at the restaurant within the hotel. Advice is to try the western breakfast once and just enjoy the set meal breakfast. It is simply fantastic, made from their own local produce and catch.
Hotel's own indoor onsen can rival those of the public commercial ones (that has massage and recreation rooms). But the indoor onsen is free for hotel guests. Manga selection is of the model popular titles (even if in Japanese languages only). Of course, massage chairs require coin payments, not unlike the public commercial ones. These amenities are something to be enjoyed every evening after a long day of tour or activities (the indoor onsen closes at midnight! Awesome!). "
