The apartment has the following facilities:-
A private salt-water pool which is heated throughout the year.
Sun beds.
Outdoor table with chairs and cushions so that guests can eat outside during the warm evenings.
Flat surface access paths for those of limited mobility.
Outside fixed barbecue with all cooking tools supplied.
Gated access with private parking.
No stairs.
One bedroom with garden views, mosquito nets and shutters for complete privacy.
Well equipped kitchen with cooker, hotplates and a microwave.
Washing machine and outside airer.
Television, smart speakers, blue tooth and high speed fibre internet.
Portable fans and heaters if required.

Strictly no smoking inside the property

The area
The apartment is set in the tranquil village of Lajares.
The apartment has lush green volcanic gardens with views over open fields and extinct volcanoes.

Lajares is a multi cultural village set in the north of the island of Fuerteventura set midway between the main tourist resort of Corralejo, the quieter Canarian village of El Cotillo and the very small hamlet of Majanicho.

Golden, sandy beaches and lagoons 10 minutes away by car.

The village has:-
A well stocked supermarket in the centre of the village.
A bakery for fresh bread and cakes.
Clothes and shoe shops.
Craft market on Saturdays in the village square with music.
A Pharmacy with English speaking staff.
Dentist and Vet.
Emergency Health centre in Corralejo and English speaking Doctors.

Lajares is well served by public transport and taxis but for complete flexibility and convenience, a hire car is highly recommended.

The apartment was a great base for travelling around the island. It was spacious and had all the kitchen utensils you could need! The pool was amazing. The owners are lovely and approachable. Just a note that there isn’t much shade around the pool during the day so it can get a bit hot.

Absolutely Loved It!!

Secluded location which gave us the privacy, peace and quiet that we were looking for. On the outskirts of the town but conveniently located for shops and bars. The accommodation was very clean and nothing was overlooked, the pool was the jewel in the crown, well maintained, clean and warm. We can’t wait to return.

Wonderful Stay

Just returned from a wonderful week at Martin & Sue's apartment in Lajares. The apartment is exactly as described - clean, comfortable, well-maintained with all the necessary mod-cons and indeed anything else you could possibly want for a great holiday. They’re very considerate hosts and have really thought of it all. We especially loved the wonderful heated pool (& the beautiful gardens) and spent lots of time there just soaking up the glorious sunshine. Lajares is a great spot too - very chilled with lovely restaurants, shops, supermarket, bakeries, etc. All-in-all it’s just the most perfect spot for R&R and we’ll most certainly return.

A Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommended!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this property. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The owners (Martin and Sue) were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The property was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was peaceful and quiet, providing the perfect environment for a relaxing stay.The directions from the airport were spot-on, making it very easy to find the property without any stress. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the effort the owners put into ensuring everything was just right for us.Overall, this place was a true home away from home, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay. Excellent accommodation

Absolutely no issues experienced. I enjoyed my time in Lajares, it was just what I needed. I mixed my time with poolside days and out and about days. This is a good location away from the hustle and bustle of Corralejo but close enough (by car) to provide everything needed. Special thanks to Martin for guiding me in after my flight was delayed which meant driving from the airport after dark - the street turning was easily missed.

Perfect stay

We spent a perfect week in Martin's apartment and we had an amazing time. Martin wasn't there but he promptly solved the unique little issue we had during our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean. Special mention to the pool and garden. The village, Lajares, is perfectly located.

If you want a totally relaxing non commercialised break this is the only way to do it. Apartment is exactly as described, very clean and has everything you need. The pool is AMAZING, that's the only word I can give it, warm and so clean. The patio area is lovely with good shelter as well as a great suntrap. The view's from the garden are truly stunning. BBQ was great and was used by us many times. Cannot fault the place. The surrounding area is very quiet so no noisy bars blasting music till silly o'clock. The hosts Martin and Sue are very welcoming and very helpful and are a truly lovely couple. We would highly recommend this apartment if you want a chilled relaxed holiday

We read all the reviews which said that you had sole use of the pool and that the hosts closed the shutters for privacy, well the shutters were never shut and when we asked for the shutters to be closed we were told if you dont like it go somewhere else !!! and the pool is not your area and we should stay in our designated area. We found another private villa 10 mins away and left the next day and had a great holiday. If you want a private relaxing holiday then stay well away form this one.
