La Lisière: Charming stone house with a garden

Treat yourself to a break out of time and everyday life where every second is fully experienced in osmosis with the Périgord nature at the Gîte La Lisère.

Located in a small hamlet 2km from the village of La Rochebeaucourt and Argentine, on the edge of the forest, you are here in a quiet area in the Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park.

Our charming little Périgord house from the 17th century has kept intact its charm and authenticity, while offering modern comfort.

With walls 80cm thick, the house will keep cool in summer and warm in winter around a pretty fireplace.

Clinging to the Argentine plateau, the Gîte La Lisière has a small bucolic and private garden surrounded by a low stone wall. You can rest on deckchairs in the shade of the trees... A small reading corner nestled in the vegetation and conducive to daydreaming also awaits you.

You will have the choice between a small covered terrace in front of the house or a large rear terrace for your meals or outdoor aperitifs.

Below is the Nizonne valley and its river which serves as a natural border between Dordogne and Charentes...

Clinging to a small cliff, the hamlet is accessible by a dead-end road... so no traffic and no noise. On the other hand, you will have to make a few manoeuvres to park in your private parking lot.

Numerous walks will allow you to discover the richness of the surroundings from the house (Argentine Plateau and its Natura 2000 area, troglodyte site of Les Cluzeaux, the Château de Fieux, the mushroom farms...)

And less than 30 minutes by car (the castles of Villebois La Valette, Mareuil, Bourdeilles, the cutlery of Nontron, the magnificent city of Brantôme also called the green Venice of the Périgord, the countless fortified churches of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in the vicinity, the arboretum of Blanzaguet...)

On the accommodation side, our cocooning house has been tastefully renovated and has all the modern comforts. It has a living-dining room with kitchenette, a bathroom with toilet and a vestibule on the first floor. Upstairs, the chestnut mezzanine is built around the imposing fireplace and has 2 sleeping areas separated by a difference in level and a curtain. The wifi will allow everyone to stay connected and watch their favorite Netflix series if the weather is not on your side.
