CASA QUERCIA – Entire house for up to 6 guests

Casa Quercia is a recently renovated, two-storey stone farmhouse of approximately 110 m², combining traditional Tuscan features, such as high beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, with modern comfort.

The house accommodates up to 6 guests in three bedrooms:

Ground floor: spacious living room with fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a bathroom with shower and one twin bedroom.

First floor: two bright double bedrooms each with a king-size bed, and a large bathroom on the landing, with a window and a spacious shower.

Private outdoor spaces

Enjoy sunset dinners at the large table under the west-facing private porch, or relax in the fenced-in east-facing garden, with beautiful views towards Volterra.

Comfort and amenities

The house has air conditioning in the living room and both upstairs bedrooms. The ground-floor twin bedroom has no dedicated AC unit, but benefits from the living-room air conditioning when the door is left open. A floor fan is also provided.

There is no TV. BBQs are not available and are not permitted.

A few things to know before booking

Casa Quercia is rented as an entire house, and the price is for the property, not per person. The rate remains the same for 2 to 6 guests.

There is no breakfast service. For your first morning, we leave a few simple essentials, including coffee, tea, milk and a homemade treat.

A car is essential. Poderino il Sole is set in the Tuscan countryside, about 6 km from the nearest village, Lajatico. There are no shops, restaurants or public transport within walking distance. The nearest services and most restaurants are generally 10–15 km away.

Thanks to its fast, stable Wi-Fi and peaceful surroundings, the house is also suitable for working remotely, particularly during autumn and winter.

PODERINO IL SOLE

Poderino il Sole is a restored eighteenth-century farmhouse on a hill in the Tuscan countryside, near Volterra, surrounded by fields and olive trees and offering spectacular 360° views.

The property offers three independent two-bedroom apartments and two independent three-bedroom holiday homes. The apartments Noce, Ciliegio and Ulivo are located on the first floor and have no private outdoor spaces, while the two holiday homes Quercia and Cipresso offer private outdoor areas.

Guests can enjoy the shared panoramic swimming pool and solarium, panoramic terrace, Giardino delle Colonne, Volterra gazebo and olive grove.

Free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station are available. Charging is offered for a fee per kw.

We are Monica and Francesco, and we live here all year round, together with our two dogs, Luna and Ombra, and the cat Macchia. We personally welcome our guests and are often around if you need anything during your stay.

Check-in is possible only between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
