Best Bachelorette Spot in LG
I cannot imagine a better place to stay with a big group in Lake Geneva. It is located right in the heart of downtown, and every girl in our huge group had her own bedroom and bathroom. It was perfect.

Bachelorette Party Perfection
The Downtowner couldn't have been more perfect for our group. We loved the outdoor area and the ease of getting around downtown LG. Everyone was pleased with the house and would come back again. Having a bathroom in almost all bedrooms was a major perk and we appreciated there being 2 refrigerators as well.

Great for a big group
We stayed here with multiple families for a ski weekend. Kids from 1-10 years old. The house was great location to downtown, Starbucks. The host is great at reaching out and answering questions, checked via text to see if we needed anything. Each room has a bathroom in it, or right next to it. Large fully equipped kitchen, 2 refrigerators, very open for large group to hang out. We fit 4 families comfortably, 5 might have felt like too much even though plenty of beds. Overall was a great find for our large group!

Very nice, cozy, beautiful views and good living/gathering space. Little noisy from outside but we expected that, except for the dumpster collection from the bar next door at 6 am. Overall our entire family enjoyed it and we had a great time!! Thanks

Retirement celebration
The Downtowner was clean & spacious. Two refrigerators in the kitchen was a nice surprise! Accessibility to downtown Lake Geneva was awesome, we didn't have to drive anywhere. The owner was organized and made my first use of Vrbo a stress free transaction.

Girls Weekend Getaway
We had 10 girls staying at the Downtowner and were glad to find a place with so many en suite bathrooms. The listing was clear that it’s not in a quiet location and we found that to be true - it was very noisy with the bar next door playing loud music until late + sirens coming from the street outside most nights. That bothered some more than others, depending on how heavy you sleep. The bigger issues we had were with temperature and cleanliness. We took off our shoes coming into the house but soon noticed that the bottom of all of our socks got super dirty from walking around on the floors. Then, we had issues with the rooms on the first floor maintaining very different temperatures. Some rooms were stifling hot while others were uncomfortably cold. Keeping the doors open during the day helped the temperatures a bit, but closing the doors at night made it uncomfortable again. Since this is a converted property, I assume it has something to do with the way the rooms were closed off with the existing ductwork, but it definitely made for some uncomfortable sleeping.

Great location and home for a large group
We had 16 guys for a golf trip and everyone loved the main living area, patios and bedroom configuration. Tisha was amazing to work with and such a wonderful host! House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Able to walk to the Lake and all downtown restaurants. Would definitely book again in the future!

Overall a nice venue for a extended family lodging. Guest were from out of town in for a wedding in Burlington. things that could impove: kitchen floor was really dirty and a broken glass was on lower deck upon arrival. kitchen hand soap was water so we just bought our own. could use more kitchen towels. things we enjoyed: large outdoor space with wonderful seating and tables. kitchen equipped well so we could make our meals. bathrooms were clean. large area for group to eat inside.

Great stay!

Best location in Lake Geneva
Was there celebrating a friend. 18 people enjoyed the house. Tons of space for everyone and walking distance to bars, restaurants, and the lake. The outdoor area is super chill to hang out and the bar next door is super easy to walk over for a beer/a meal. Would highly recommend to any large groups looking to hang out in lake Geneva.

This was an excellent group. I gave them a 5 star review but there seems to have been some sort of computer glitch showing 0 out of 5 and that is completely inaccurate. I would have them back again anytime!

Great stay right near downtown for a large group!
We had a fantastic stay at The Downtowner! Plenty of space for our large group and close proximity to downtown and the lake. Parking in the driveway (alley) is a bit tight, so plan on taking as few cars as possible or parking in the free lots down the road. Only other tips would be to have earplugs since the bar next door plays music pretty loudly until about 2am on the weekends. Owner provides sound machines that are helpful too, but earplugs are probably needed for most people. It can get bright in some of the rooms even with curtains, so a sleep mask might be helpful to pack too! Otherwise, it was the perfect place to stay for our trip and we loved all of the outdoor space to sit outside!

What a great stay
I cannot say enough good things about the Downtowner and Tisha. We stayed here for my wedding weekend and had the best time. There is so much outside space and so many bedrooms. I love the funky way this place is decorated. The place was clean and there were plenty of bathrooms. It was so nice to be able to get up and have coffee on the deck in the morning. The location is also perfect!!! Tisha was great to work with. I am just bummed that the weekend was so busy, I did not get a chance to stop by her store in town. I highly recommend!!!!

Great location in LG
Not your typical “lake house” (on the water, boat slip, pool, etc.) but that didn’t bother us one bit. There actually aren’t many true lake houses in LG that are for rent, so the Downtowner was a great find for us. Within walking distance of just about everything, which is really great, especially on the weekends when traffic into town backs up as far as the eye can see. We rarely had to use our vehicles during our stay. We had 10 adults and 4 kids fit very comfortably, with plenty of space to hang out, both inside and outside. We would certainly stay there again!

Great property with plenty of room. Right on the edge of town, and convenient to everything. The various levels of decks and patio are really nice, sadly was not able to use patio, too much rain.

Bachelorette Stay
I had 13 women stay at this property for my bachelorette. The space easily accommodated us all and having so many bathrooms truly saved grief and time. The location is amazing!! There are many amenities overall the place was clean but you can see the significant wear on the property due to its continued use. The bathroom curtains were yellowed and many large stains on the carpets in the room. Many of the soaps were refilled with water. This didn’t ruin our trip but did make us step back and consider the value and cost. Overall this space was amazing and Tisha was accessible.

House was perfect for large group of friends and family. Long table fit 20 of us to play cards and games all at 1 time. 3 decks aloud us to spread out listen to music and play corn hole. Rooms slept us all with almost all having private bathrooms. Location was walking distance to lake and many bars resturants and shops.

Great location on Main Street downtown Lake Geneva. House was very clean. Kitchen is long galley kitchen and tight space for 13 guests, as was the living space for a house that sleeps so many people. Accommodations were very good for our 2 night stay for our girls’ weekend. Longer stay with really large group might get a little uncomfortable. Overall we were very satisfied and had a wonderful weekend.

The house worked well for holiday family get together. Parking is very minimal but workable with remote parking a short walk from the house. Our catered dinner for 10 went well. For our guests, the in town location offers plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We will use The Downtowner for similar family functions in the future.

Downtown!
The house worked very well for our group of 16. There are several gathering spaces of varying sizes, so we could all be together or could split up into smaller groups. It was nice that we could all sit at one table for meals. The decor is endlessly interesting, and showed that the owner really cares about creating a unique experience. Almost all of the bedrooms have their own full bath. Being downtown may be a bit noisier than being in the country, but it was worth it for the ability to walk to so many things, especially the lake. The view to the park is lovely. Even though it was November, we still enjoyed some time on the outdoor deck. The patio would be really great in the summer!

Wonderful property
We rented this property for my mom’s 80th birthday party. My parents have a long history in Lake Geneva so it was a perfect setting. Tisha was wonderful to work with. Very easy to communicate with which made my job as the planner much easier. Since it was cold we weren’t able to enjoy the outdoor sections, so we mostly hung-out in the kitchen and great room area. My only complaint for that area of house is it felt dark in evenings as the lighting options were limited. Bedrooms were quaint and comfortable. We didn’t have any issues with noise at bar next door but guessing that’s due to time of year (November) and things being a little less busy in LG. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we hope to come back one day soon!

Perfect "Business and Pleasure" Retreat Location!
The Downtowner is just that! Within walking distance to the Riveria Dock and all that downtown Lake Geneva has to offer. Our business group of eight adults found the accommodations just what we needed. We did rearrange some furniture (and put it back as found) to accommodate eight laptops. We could have found a "quieter" place at a sterile hotel, but we were well aware of the other comments about noise and location. It was a non-issue for our group. Everyone was delighted with the clean, comfortable, artsy and well appointed Downtowner! 5-star!

Erica and Josh's Wedding Celebration Weekend
Our family and friends had a terrific time at the B & B. It is beautifully appointed, has lots of fun decorating, very comfortable for lots of people. We had several lunches and breakfasts there. It was a perfect place for the wedding party ladies to get their hair and make up done. It was very convenient to the Riviera, the venue for the party. We loved it.
